FEI ✅

I remember 10 year old me watching the FEI World Cup and being amazed by the dancing horses.

This has been a dream I’ve been fighting for many years.

I want to thank the people that believed in me and fought for me.

@aspinetti @clubdressage has worked so hard to give me the opportunities to succeed. When I wanted to do western, she gave me the foundation and mentored me. When I wanted my bronze medal, she found me the right horse and helped me develop him and myself to my goals. She let me borrow her own very talented Capo to get me a silver medal score my first time in 4th level. Even though it’s been a busy season, she showed up ready with some tricky exercises and great perspective to get me ready to ride at the level I dreamed of.

@jenifer_zakhary allowed me to borrow Danny, to give me a great shot at becoming an FEI rider. She has cheered me on from the side lines, offered her support, and shared her expertise with me as someone devoted to the highest level of dressage.

I have the trainers of a life-time and I am so lucky to both learn under amazing people and get to know the horses and barn mates that make this sport amazing.

Coming up in two years ago, Arrow had his collision accident with our other horse sweet Poppy🪽🌈 which resulted in her being paralyzed and euthanized, it also caused severe nerve damage in Arrows shoulder (Sweeney shoulder) to develop. A few people mentioned they would have put him down as well because the odds of a full recovery were 50/50 and because weakness in the shoulder can be dangerous for horse and rider if they trip and fall.
There was no way I was giving up on him.
It was a long slow road to recovery. I put a lot of time and effort into supplements, massages, chiro, PEMF (thanks @zenequinebodywork), electro acupuncture, regular acupuncture, vitamin shots, tens units, cold hosing, the works, I did everything Bo could think of and did loads of research and asked professionals for advice. Rehabbed slowly and I started bringing him back but still found some discomfort I wasn’t sure about. I let him have more time off while I focused on Raya and the Mustang shows I was doing with her. I Recently restarted bringing him back into work and training with the the help of my amazing trainer as I found more time and put more focus on him being a little more fancy and more trained up. We started asking a little more of him little by little. He’s definitely gained some weight on top of him maturing. 😬 But he’s as puppy dog like as ever. He’s still just a wiggly green bean with opinions, who still makes me laugh and infuriates me all in the span of 5 min. He’s such a different ride and personality than Raya, and it’s been so good for me to go between both horses who are so opposite. He’s making me a better rider and trainer. I’m so proud of the road he’s traveled so far and the hurdles he’s overcome. He’s happy and enjoys going on adventures. I look forward to all the coming adventures and travels ahead of us, and I’m so beyond grateful he’s still here with me.

Scottie pants/ turkey!! There aren’t enough ways to thank you for being a horse of a lifetime. When you came into my life I was breaking in ways that you never knew and without even realizing it you saved me. You taught me to be strong , humble, smart and truly how to love so hard it hurts knowing I won’t see you every day. You literally were also the biggest headache (IYKYK LOL) but my greatest accomplishment on any given day. Grandma loved you so much and I know she is in Oregon playing with you in the fields. My heart hurts watching you run again. I know how much you missed it and am so glad you are free again. They say often that maybe some of the best love stories come to an end but ours will live on forever. I love you so much baby boy. Thank you for being my partner, my best friend and for always putting a smile on my face. I promise I will come visit but until then please behave lol don’t do anything stupid and know I love you more than the moon and the stars ❤️
