lolla 2026!! I refuse to utilize the multiple captions feature you’re getting ONE. much less exhausting experience than last year for sure since we only did 2 days and 1 aftershow 😭 god what a weekend, meeting up with friends I don’t see as often and finally meeting others face to face for the first time, this was a very eventful 2 days in chicago. saw a lot of good sets and survived the rain and mud, still prefer this weather to the normal heat though I’ll be honest.

I think sunday converted me into a jpop fanatic, yoasobi and ado were so fucking good 😭 and I witnessed history with the frostjirachiru show saturday night, even if I thought I was going to die in that church. also peep my appearance on the big screen during turnstile’s set 😼

lastly, geeseapalooza. handed out those silly papers and it became the coolest part of the set during taxes, feel emotional looking back at vids of that now, happy I could be the cause of that 🥲

until next year 🫡

LOOK AT WHAT WE DID TOGETHER

a few weeks ago me and two of my most awesome and amazing friends @jospiah_tushaus and @asterseed went to go see one of our favorite bands crusade across the midwest. We got to see BCNR play in Madison, Milwaukee, and Kalamazoo in a series of shows dubbed BCNROADTRIP!! This was one of the most fun and exciting and amazing concert experiences i’ve ever had, getting to see one of our favorite bands every day was truly a dream come true. BCNR has been one of the most important bands to me in the past few years, and i think both Josiah and Sophia can say the same; this run of shows really meant so much to us, and getting to do it with some of my favorite people was something i’ll truly never forget. I’m so so grateful that the stars aligned for this to be able to happen, and for us to get TWO WISCONSIN SHOWS is insane!!! Thank you so much to the band for being so kind and welcoming and supportive and generous with your time, thank you for talking with us every night, I feel so insanely honored to have been able to capture these portraits, i’m honestly still in disbelief that this really happened!! I love this band, i love my friends, i love music!!! my eyes are filled with tears and my heart is filled with joy. This has been the experience of a lifetime 🫶

as georgia said, this was in fact our “little tour.” 3 shows spanning over 4 days; madison, milwaukee, and kalamazoo! waited close to 3 years to finally see my favorite band in my home state, still can’t believe we got two wisco shows. these shows meant the world to me, and I got to experience them with some of my closest friends. kalamazoo could’ve been a bit cooler temp wise but overall these were all perfect.

of course I also have to gush about how perfect this lineup was. one to rival even the likes of racing mount geese. horsegirl were the perfect choice for openers, they ruled. very happy I got to see them 3 more times in quick succession after I saw them in madison last august.

special shoutout to @thebunchoffriends for inspiring sophia and I to buy the funny vtech kids smart watches that some of the kalamazoo content was filmed with.

unfortunately I no longer know what to do with myself after this roadtrip. please if anyone knows what I’m supposed to do now let me know.

big big big weekend, back to back ethel cain and friko shows! funnily enough it would’ve been 3 shows in a row but the chicago joost klein show got moved to may 5th, oh well. i’m still shocked i managed to get barricade for ethel, i feel like that’s brag worthy with how weird the line situation was. she put on an absolutely beautiful show, i’m very happy I finally got redemption for missing her at summerfest back in 2024. justice for punish though, should’ve been on the setlist 😔 and of course I wasn’t going to miss friko’s album celebration show for something worth waiting for. my 20th friko show! actually so insane to have a show count that high but I love these guys to death. arguably my fav show from them so far too, always a fun time at the metro.

wednesday on a friday and my fourth geordie greep show on a saturday, I had a very fun weekend. braved the cold to chat with the wednesday crew and braved the slightly awkward vibes to chat with geordie briefly once again (and braved absolutely nothing to chat with some of his band mates as I’ve spoken to practically all of them multiple times before lol). love my silly awesome musical chungus life.

combining these 4 shows into a sort of late february - early march concert dump. joey valence & brae, feeble little horse, peter mcpoland, and feeble little horse again!! was very happy to able to see jvb again after missing them in mke last year (i was seeing geese in madison that night), another very fun and very sweaty show. peter mcpoland was a blast as per usual, this show was honestly equal to piggy tour for me which i didn’t expect at all going into it. feeble little horse!! was so happy to finally have a local show from them, wasn’t initially planning to go to thalia hall to see them again but I’m glad I was peer pressured into doing so. all very lovely people, thank you guys for taking the time to chat with me about a lot of random stuff :) very excited to catch them again someday.

Racing Mount Pleasant - Live at Schubas 1/16/26

First show of the big 26 and we’re starting off INCREDIBLY strong with an absolutely insane performance from genuinely the best band out there right now, in one of my favorite chicago venues. Incredibly grateful to all of the band members for taking part in this bit and for signing my ticket i got on the way to the show 😭😭😭

This was also my first time taking pictures for a show on a camera, I just used a disposable one this time! Because i have no idea what im doing unfortunately most of the photos from the actual show came out super underexposed and so i can’t really do anything with them (let this also be a warning for the next two show posts where i did the exact same thing😭), but i just ordered a small digital camera so get ready for #PROPERLYEXPOSEDPHOTOS

n e ways i love going to concerts with my friends and i love racing mount pleasant thanks for reading this ok bye!!!!!! :3
