Pt. 1 — The Film

August 22, 2026 — the day I married the most amazing man. So incredibly lucky to have found you, built this life with you, and now get to see where it takes us next. I love you, smoochies 🤍

I also got to fulfill a lifelong dream of getting married in Ireland, and we are beyond grateful for the friends, family, and incredible people who brought it all to life.

A few very sincere thank yous

@waterlily_weddings_ for helping us navigate planning a wedding from abroad and somehow making it so much fun along the way.

@cloughan_castle — for a venue that exceeded every expectation and letting us call a real 13th-century castle home for three days.

@wild_bunch_flowers — for florals more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. Every detail was absolute magic.

@bysaraandco & @hair_by_val_o_dea — for making me and all of the girls feel like the most beautiful versions of ourselves. Sara, you had us truly glowing, and Val, your talent with hair is unmatched. I could not have been happier with how I looked and, more importantly, how I felt.

@maggiemaysloughrea — for the INCREDIBLE food, somehow rivaled only by how wonderful and welcoming your entire staff was.

@astral_strings — for the beautiful ceremony music and for accompanying my cousin @shannon.messam as she sang. Hearing her voice alongside the strings as I walked down the aisle was something I had dreamed about for years.

Maurice and his wonderful staff — for keeping the drinks flowing and being an even better presence behind the bar.

And @white_cat_studio — I’m so glad the universe brought us together. Your photography is art, but the way you made the entire experience feel effortless, comfortable, and genuinely fun was just as special. Having you there was such an important part of our day, and I’ll forever be grateful that these are the photographs we get to remember it by.

Black tie elegance, Georgian grandeur and a bride who sparkled in every sense of the word ✨

Huge congratulations to our beautiful Emer and her husband Jack, who celebrated their wedding in May at the stunning 25 Fitzwilliam Place. Emer wore our Taurus gown, a shimmering embellished design that caught the light so beautifully, though never quite as brightly as her smile. And while a summer rain shower made an appearance, it did nothing to take from the magic, romance and joy of their day.

Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness together.

An absolute firehouse of a couple ! There was something so incredible intimate and beautiful about this day that will genuinely never leave me. Each and every single guest had such an incredible relationship with the couple that really added to the atmosphere of the day 🤍🥹

I can now safely say that a Dublin City wedding will forever have my heart ! To be a tiny part of all of this was beyond a dream and to witness a huge chapter of Emer and Jacks story was a privilege !!

With over 20 years’ experience of playing together, The Astral String Quartet bring a unique chemistry and energy to every event. We’ve had the honour of performing at prestigious events and alongside headline acts, and each member brings an impressive background in performance, composition, education and arrangement.
