✨Colorful characters at ConCarolinas! ✨
.
.
.
Well that wraps up another fantastic con season!
.
Over the weekend I got to immerse myself in the nerdy community of ConCarolinas for its 25th Anniversary!
.
They have something for everyone with gaming, author's alley, vendors market, film festival, cosplay contest, cosplay dance party, nerdy karaoke, scary stories, folklore & witchcraft, boozy cupcake party, live music, and a gorgeous hotel on a waterfront lined with restaurants.
.
Besides all the activities, truly some of my favorite people are involved with this con and it's always so great to catch up.

As if MystiCon coming back wasn’t enough of a treat, and being asked to be the “Indie Film Guest of Honour” wasn’t enough to put a smile on my face six heads wide, then for “The Blue Eyed Boy & Mr. Death” to not only be a finalist in the 2026 MystiCon Independent Film Festival but to receive FOUR NOMINATIONS (“Best Local Short Film,” “Best Drama Short Film,” “Best Lead Actor - Male” (Adam Hampton), and “Best Director” is just the illustrious icing on the big cinematic cake that is kickstarting the heart of 2026 off right. Not only will be it my 50th birthday a mere week later, but this year will mark my 20th anniversary as a filmmaker, and that feeling is just some kind of wonderful. I am beyond excited and delighted to be able to return to my beloved MystiCon, and to the film festival which has been so very kind to myself and Mad Ones Films over the years, and to screen amongst such amazing indie film fare from all around the world!!! #MystiCon #MystiConIndependentFilmFestival #TheBlueEyedBoyAndMrDeath #MadOnesFilms #BelieveInMovieMagic #SupportIndieFilm
