Almost 8 months ago, The Lord met me in my room at a point in my life where I had made mistakes, walked away from him, done things I said I would never do, and was carrying so much shame and guilt.

Somewhere between February 19th and March 1st,I felt a pull on my heart to start attending Passion City Church. At the time, I didn’t understand why the Lord was leading me to a church 45 minutes away from my house, but I knew that was where He wanted me to be.

So on March 1st, after making the decision to leave my old life behind, I visited Passion City Church for the first time. I walked into the building alone, knowing absolutely nobody and having no idea what the Lord had in store for me.

My second week at Passion, I was prayed over, and as the weeks went on, I started making friends and building meaningful connections. It’s been a long road of healing and learning to trust the Lord, but through this process, I’ve gotten to know Him in a whole new way. I’ve gotten to see Him not only as my Father, but as my Friend. In Him, I’ve found my purpose, my strength, and my comfort, and I’m so thankful for the way He’s continued to meet me right where I am.

From attending on Sunday mornings to being encouraged to serve at Passion Camp 2026, then I got the opportunity to be a family group leader, and to be apart of one myself the Lord has given me so much more than I could have imagined. I can now say with full confidence that I understand why He led me to Passion back in March. I walked in knowing nobody, and now I have such a sweet community and so many people I get to call my friends.

If you aren’t familiar with the lightbulb wall at Passion, each lightbulb represents someone who has gone from death to life in Jesus.

Today wasn’t the day I went from death to life. That happened almost eight months ago when the Lord met me in my room and began changing my life. But today, I got to add my own lightbulb to the wall as a physical reminder of what He’s done in my life.

What a gift it is to see how far He’s brought me!

Two years on staff at The Grove…

Which is odd to say, because when I walked into my first Grove in 2018 I had absolutely no idea this would one day be my job.

A church home turned into a new career path. A place where I’ve learned new skills, found some of my favorite people on earth, grown a lot, changed even more, and naturally been given approximately 400 opportunities to practice being okay with change (ugh).

If you know me, you know this is still an area of very needed refinement, so God seems to know what He’s doing (lol).

I’ve learned new things here. I’ve learned more about myself here. I’ve watched God open doors I never thought to knock on.

And unexpectedly, I met my soon to be husband here.

God, is that you??? Must be!

There’s a lot I could say about these two years, but more than anything, I see God in them. In the late nights and early mornings. In the people. In the pivots. In the things that made sense immediately and the things that still don’t.

I’m still figuring a lot out. Aren’t we all? But I know this much: loving Jesus is genuinely fun. Following Him is an adventure. And sometimes He writes a much better story than the one you would’ve come up with yourself.

Two years. Pretty cool.

Who would have known that what started off as a simple mood board would turn into this.

I am blessed beyond words that the Lord would invite me to be on such an AMAZING team where we all were able to use the gifts He’s blessed us with for His glory.
