STRANGE MEN by Sarah Bernstein
The Brick / July-August 2026

Been sitting on these thoughts for a second so get ready. @sbernstein45 wrote a hilarious, brutal, and profoundly affecting play. Getting to work on this piece with such brilliant collaborators over the last few years has been a gift. I’m always searching for thorny material that genuinely risks something, and this play answered every wish. Playing Ajay has been the most challenging and exhilarating experience of my actorly life thus far.

A huge shoutout to @strollerscene for making this possible and for their continued commitment to developing new plays. Love to @cdiercks for brilliantly guiding us through every beat of Sarah’s play and creating such a generative room. And so much appreciation to @metrotalipon, @percy.hornak, and @ashleysiflinger for their invaluable work in shaping this piece and production. And lastly, shoutout to my bros @ogscottiet, @chriscortezadams, @astronautone, and @ryangeorge87. So proud of the ensemble we built.

And thank you to all the friends and loved ones who came to this one. I love you!

We’re raising $10K by September! 💸 We’ve raised $1K so far. Will you help us reach our goal?

Our recent move to Asylum NYC represents an ambitious and invigorating step for us, and we’d love your support as we take this leap.

Funds raised will support operating costs at our new venue, investing in growing our marketing and audience development efforts, and continuing our commitment to paying the artists who make the amazing work that you know and love.

This June, I attended the 2026 TCG National Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico! It was a great time, and I got the chance to meet so many awesome people — some for the first time, and some whom I’ve known for years but had only ever connected with remotely before.

Although my time was limited, I am grateful to have experience just a portion of Boricua art and performance, such as Agitarte’s @agitarte_cultural_works moving session on the first day of the conference. I learned a lot and I’m looking forward to carrying that knowledge into my day-to-day work as an arts manager and working artist.

Massive thank you to TCG @tcg_gram for making my participation in the conference possible. I had a blast and left with so much gratitude for the work we’re doing in our field.
