The day of the Full Moon

Hey Lunar Fam!
So here it is! I'm really busy but could not just leave this amazing lunar project and image for later so I'm sharing it now! Thanks to my bro @danielquevedov for the amazing lunar mission we had planned and my beautiful girlfriend @guadaperes_cajias for coming along and sending the best vibes for us to get it done.

This was not an easy one, sometimes moon photography can be fairly easy to shoot and edit, like my previous post just a nice and clean single shot as long as you nail the right day and time you can do it, but normally the day of the full moon the challenge can be much greater and this image right here is a good example of this.

To start with we had pretty harsh winds just as the moon was rising and my 500mm lens does not have internal stabilization and is not very fast (F6.3) so it's a huge challenge to nail the images, I was able to get the foreground a couple of minutes before the moon was rising with some good lighting, then I did some images of the bright glowing lunar disc as the moon was sliding into the planned position and immediately after decided to do a sequence with very fast shutter speed just make sure the wind was not going to mess things up 😅.

My initial plan was just three single shots and that's it but since I did a fair amount of shots of the moon (155) recomposing every 15 to 25 shots I decided this would be a perfect project to dive even deeper and do a mineral moon edit. I like challenges and this was maybe one of my biggest moon challenges so far staying up a couple of nights editing the mineral moon, I've found a long but very pleasing workflow to get it done using 3 different softwares and then Photoshop for my final blend and edit.

The details I got this time blew my mind and made it absolutely worth the time spent editing and patiently jumping between the programs to get everything right.

I really hope you like it and feel the effort put into this sweet project and alignment with the Mururata mountain here in LaPaz Bolivia.

The coming weeks will be more about astro. I wish y'all a great weekend with clear skies and cosmic vibes 🖖🏽✨

Happy World Photography Day! 📸❤️

My journey with astrophotography began when I was still in school, and it has now been 12 years of chasing stars, exploring dark skies, and capturing the universe through my lens!

What started as curiosity slowly became a passion that took me to incredible places, introduced me to amazing people, and gave me countless unforgettable nights under the stars.

There’s something magical about standing beneath a sky full of stars, waiting patiently for that perfect moment, and then seeing it come alive in a photograph. That feeling still gives me the same excitement it did when I first started.

Photography has taught me to look beyond what is obvious, to slow down, explore, feel, and appreciate moments that may never come back.

Every photograph has a story. Every journey leaves a memory. And every night under the stars reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. ❤️

Here’s to more adventures, more skies, more stories, and many more moments waiting to be captured.

Keep looking up.
Keep exploring.
Keep creating.
Keep telling stories.

Happy World Photography Day to every photographer and photography lover! ❤️📸✨

Munay Wara 💚✨🌌⛪🌴 Love of the Stars

The old church of the calvario in the subtropics of Coroico in the department of La Paz.

Stack • Track • Composite • Focal length blend 35mmFG&50mmSKY • Light painting

Hey Cosmic fam!

Today we are sharing a very fulfilling collaboration project, produced by me and my coworker & astro photographer @peterriosexplorando during this past weekend in the beautiful subtropical town of Coroico (Yungas).

We got the amazing opportunity to do some astro so I got to work immediately and got a transport that could take us to this specific location at the top of the Uchumachi mountain in Coroico. Once at the location we realized that it was definitely worth putting 100% of our efforts on the church as our main subject. I initially wanted to align the crux constellation but It's not the ideal time of the year and it was not the ideal time of the night and we only had so much time to work this out. Rho Ophiuchi is very high up in the sky this time of year so we decided to do a Composite of Rho with the Church. I hope you like the concept and effort we put down on this project to show the world the magic of Bolivian nightscapes.

That's it for today I wish y'all a wonderful and magical solar eclipse, planet parade and Perseids meteor shower that peaks the same day as the eclipse and also with a new moon. Clear skies and cosmic vibes 🖖🏽✨.

La boucle de Barnard au-dessus de volcans jumeaux APOD 28.07.2026

Crédit d’image & Copyright : Gonzalo Laserna Vargas @gonlaserna_audiovisual

Wara Kuti 💫🗻 The Star Revolution

Timelapse based startrail of 170 images, 20sec shot at 50mm (Viltrox 50mm F2)

Hey star fam!
Wow what a beautiful time to be present on this planet and be able to capture the universe.🙏🏽✨

I've been planning this shot for some years now but never got to actually do it, but hey here it is!

This past weekend I went to Sajama for a personalized astro course with a dude that wants to learn the Cosmic alchemy and since we been kind of locked down during May and June I thought that instead of staying here in LaPaz we should go to the one and only Sajama National Park (my second home). Unlike other occasions this time I got to only do some planned images and this one was the main plan to execute, together with this one I also did a single shot startrail at 85mm (coming up soon) just to have both and test the differences between a timelapse based startrail and a single shot startrail, both techniques are awesome.

I'm really starting to love my Viltrox 50mm F2 lens, it's that nice nifty fifty from Viltrox that really does deliver.

I wouldn't have been able to pull this off without the all time best planning app out there @planitphoto , thanks for making such an amazing and complete app to get things done, you guys rock! If you haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for?

So yeah this is my first ever really well thought out circumpolar startrail with a mountain like Sajama, it was a pleasure to edit and see come alive, what do you think? If you like it, give it a like, comment, share, repost and send to your friends. Prints available in Bolivia and soon worldwide (I'm working on it).

That's it for today and I wish y'all a fantastic start of the week with a magical new moon (today) with clear skies and the best cosmic vibes 🖖🏽✨.

🥇✨NASA APOD - 28 of July 2026 • The Cosmic Bridge v2 🗻⭕🗻🇧🇴

For the 2nd time: a setting Orion cloud complex and the Barnards loop creating a cosmic bridge over the volcano twins Parinacota and Pomerape, shot at 50mm this past 18/04/2026 at the Sajama National Park.

Hey Cosmic Fam! So here it is, as planned and promised I recently went to the same spot as in March to capture this once in a lifetime alignment discovered using @planitphoto by accident when checking out where to position my camera to get Orion above the volcano twins, I realized that the faint but huge and amazing Barnard's Loop would actually align as perfect as you could ask for with the volcanoes, I was like: wait seriously 🤯.

My first attempt at this had great repercussion in the astro community and the image was preselected in the Sky page and Universe view screen with many comments and some people believing it was a composite or/and AI generated, I was flattered with these claims knowing every step of the process of capturing this beautiful moment.

So after that I new even clearer that I just had to go back and capture it close to the new moon and with much better conditions, so I did 🫡, this time I traveled with my amazing girlfriend @guadaperes_cajias with 2 complete nights of astro photography at the park and I can say it was absolutely beautiful and perfect to share the experience with her and enjoy the magical night sky together.

The first night (17th of April) was amazing but I didn't get enough time to capture Orion so I did some other comps and then left the main plan for the 18th and went to the spot early and executed everything as planned. I'm very happy with my final result and what I had envisioned, I knew that this time was going to be much better with the final image having much more details and colors, what do you think? Was it worth the effort? Let me know in the comments.

I made sure to capture as much as possible around the concept to show the world and the astro community how it was done, I've included a reference single shot when the alignment occurs and also a timelapse, screenshots of the plan and a final comparison of both final images.

Cosmic Vibes 🖖🏽✨
