The day began with a conversation about the options for their painting background …where the light would fall, what moments mattered most, and how we could create a painting that would forever bring them back to this day.

As guests arrived, they wandered over to the easel, sharing stories, and even surprise hugs from former clients, and watching the scene slowly take shape.
One of my favorite parts of live painting is that it becomes part of the celebration itself. It’s not just about the finished artwork🤍it’s about the moments shared while it’s being created

Just before the ceremony the storm rolled away. The clouds parted, and the most incredible golden light poured across the landscape. It lasted only a few moments, but it transformed everything. I quickly captured those colors and that glow, knowing they would become part of the painting forever.

Some of the most beautiful moments can’t be planned—they simply arrive. And when they do, they’re worth preserving, one brushstroke at a time. ✨🎨

Grateful.

This past year I have had the honor of serving as the President of The Alabama Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (ALACRAO). This organization and its people are the best of the best. They work hard day after day for their institutions and more importantly, students in the great state of Alabama.

The organization is in great hands with @noellerina as the new President! She will empower and encourage each member of the executive team to serve and support our membership. I’m glad to stick around as Immediate Past President to watch her shine!

I’m thankful for my @troyuadmissions family and how supportive they are. This week I saw them support not only me, but each other. They provided sessions that were impactful for the entire conference. Team so big I couldn’t even tag them all, and they are all incredible!

Most importantly, I’m thankful for my bride @kroemckenzie. With a toddler and one month old at home, she still pushed me into leadership and service. After a great week, I’m excited to be with them.

In a word full of Lightning McQueens, be a Mater.
