Launching digital credentials is one thing. Scaling them across an institution is another.

We're excited to present alongside ASU Learning Enterprise at Convergence 2026, the credential innovation conference hosted by UPCEA and AACRAO in Washington, DC.

Our Co-Founder & CEO, Tomás Mindlin, will present alongside Dr. Obiageli Sneed, Assistant Director of Learning Design at ASU Learning Enterprise.

Together, they'll share real-world experiences, lessons learned, and practical insights into what it takes to launch and scale digital credential initiatives:

→ Build a scalable, standards-aligned credentialing framework.

→ Maintain institutional ownership, trust, and control as initiatives grow.

→ Create stackable learning pathways that empower learners to choose their own journeys.

→ Drive learner engagement, employability, and new enrollments, with analytics to measure impact.

West Greene School District wanted every student to leave high school with a head start on college. The obstacle wasn't motivation, but logistics.

Superintendent Eric Gaydos found a different path through Accelerate ASU. Students in this small, rural Pennsylvania district now take ASU-faculty-taught college courses during a dedicated period in the school day, with local scholarship funding covering the cost.

"A student's zip code should not decide their opportunity," says @Sarah Bixler, senior director of Accelerate ASU.

For West Greene, that goal has started becoming reality: the district has nearly doubled the number of students earning college credit in high school.

Five days. Hundreds of conversations.

Here is what Climate Week 2026 told us: the climate and conservation fields know what needs to be done. What it needs now is people. People with the skills to lead across disciplines, languages and communities. People at the intersection of science and finance, policy and community. People ready for roles that may not have existed when they started their careers.

That is what ASU Conservation Futures is building: in courses, in fellowships, in degrees, in partnerships with organizations like Conservation International, Nia Tero and many others we connected with in New York this week.

Today, ASU opens applications and nominations for two new leadership programs: the Women in Conservation Leadership Retreat and the Conservation Futures Executive Fellowship. Both grew out of what we heard from practitioners, here at Climate Week and throughout the year.

We returned to New York this year with something to show. We leave exhausted, yet reinvigorated, looking forward to uniting in the challenge to come. See the full story in our newsroom!

In 2025, our team met Nia Tero at Climate Week in New York. That meeting grew into a course: Indigenous Peoples' Rights and the Care of Mother Earth in Latin America and the Caribbean, shaped by Nia Tero and offered by Conservation Futures Academy in English and Spanish starting in January 2027.

Last week, Nia Tero and ASU were back at Climate Week together, this time with the course in hand.

We were also happy to spend time today with Melissa Nelson, whose work on Indigenous Conservation Collaborations and the Initiative for Indigenous Science and Conservation at the Rob Walton School grounds everything we’re building in Knowledge directly from those who hold it.

Conservation led by the people closest to the land. That is the practice. That is the course. Learn more in our newsroom, link in bio!

When Cienega High School lost its AP Psychology teacher, Principal Kim Middleton didn't cancel the course. Instead, she offered students the Accelerate ASU dual enrollment program. To her excitement, they did well and soon came back for more.

ENG 101 enrollment at Cienega went from 78 students to 159 in a single year. Total Accelerate ASU enrollment nearly doubled, from 159 students to 293.

"Dual enrollment has been amazing for our kids," says Middleton. "It builds grit and resiliency around attending a postsecondary institution."

We’re back at Climate Week NYC a year after announcing a $115M investment from the Rob Walton Foundation to build the ASU Rob Walton School of Conservation Futures and the Conservation Futures Academy.

We want to hear what conservation organizations need from the people they are hiring and developing. We want to understand what businesses are confronting as nature becomes part of conversations about risk, supply chains and long-term strategy. We want to hear from partners about where education can help and where it needs to change. And we want to make connections with people whose work affects conservation, whether or not they would describe themselves as conservation professionals.

Those conversations contribute to what ASU builds next. Be part of them in our newsroom.

Eric Gaydos had a vision for students in his rural Pennsylvania district: walk across the graduation stage with both a high school diploma and a head start on college.

The first attempt didn't work: Local community college credits wouldn't transfer. Transportation to campus was a barrier. The program stalled.

Then Gaydos heard about Accelerate ASU at @nationalfetc in New Orleans.

"When a student is transferring 20 or 30 credits entering their freshman year, it's pretty amazing," he says. "Those are the types of stories that change the narrative very quickly."

West Greene School District has since nearly doubled the number of students earning college credit in high school. One student transferred so many credits that she started college as a sophomore.

A corridor drawn on a map is only a line. It becomes meaningful when landowners, communities, conservation organizations and public agencies build the relationships and agreements to keep the land open.

Communities in Tsavo are doing extraordinary work. Through TTWCA, they are managing more than 4,000 square kilometers of wildlife corridors to support both livelihoods and wildlife movement.

The communities closest to the land are the ones who know it best, and those whose priorities must shape conservation from the start. This is exactly the kind of learning that makes ASU Conservation Futures Academy's work grounded in reality rather than just theory.

How do we make sure community goals shape a project from the start, not just at sign-off? Learn more in our newsroom!
