Welcome to the Decorative Arts Collection of Rhodes, housed within the historic Knights' Armoury at Argyrokastrou Square. For centuries, these stone walls have held the physical memories of cultural crossroads, boasting a world-renowned collection of ceramic plates from Iznik, Kütahya, and Çanakkale that showcase the deep, historic dialogue between the Eastern Mediterranean and Europe.

“Quatrefoil” is a solo exhibition by Atalanti Martinou @atalanti presented as part of the Biennale of Contemporary Keramics 2026.

Στο πλαίσιο του Cycladic Café Art Project, το Μουσείο παρουσιάζει έργα του Κωνσταντίνου Γιώτη @konstantinos.giotis

Τα έργα του Γιώτη, μεγάλης κλίμακας ή μικρά και προσωπικά, περιστρέφονται γύρω από επιθυμίες, φαντασιώσεις ή αυτοβιογραφικές αποκλίσεις. Μέσα από μια ανοιχτή διαδικασία επηρεαζόμενη από διαθέσεις, συναντήσεις, μνήμες, καθώς και έρευνα, η δουλειά μετατρέπεται σε ένα δοχείο πιθανών συσχετίσεων.

Δουλεύοντας µε αλληλοκαλυπτόµενα πεδία χρώματος, διαφάνειες και διαφορετικές ιδέες αναπαράστασης, προκύπτει μια διαδικασία απόκρυψης και αποκάλυψης, δημιουργώντας δίκτυα συναισθηματικών συνδέσεων.

Το Cycladic Café Art Project ξεκίνησε το 2017 ως μέρος του Προγράμματος Σύγχρονης Τέχνης του Μουσείου, ενώνοντας χώρους κοινωνικής συνεύρεσης με την τέχνη.

The new Cycladic Café Art Project presents the work of Konstantinos Giotis @konstantinos.giotis

Giotis’ works, large scale and expansive or small and intimate, revolve around fantasies, desires, or autobiographical deviations.

Through an open-ended process affected by moods, encounters, memory and research, the work becomes a vessel of suggestive relations.

Often working with overlapping layers of paint, transparencies and a variety of representational ideas, concealment and disclosure take place, creating networks of affective connections.

#CafeArtProject
Το νέο Cycladic Café Art Project παρουσιάζει το έργο του Σωκράτη Φατούρου @fatourossocrates “Last Night” (2022).

Τα έργα του Φατούρου επικεντρώνονται γύρω από μια πρακτική με βάση τον χρόνο (time-based), επιχειρώντας διαρκώς να ανακατασκευάσει τους τρόπους εμπειρίας και θέασης τόσο του κόσμου όσο και του ίδιου του του εαυτού.
•
Δημιουργεί ζωγραφικά και γλυπτικά έργα, μνημονικές εικόνες και μυθοπλασίες που έχουν ως αφορμή ιστορίες, προσωπικά βιώματα αλλά και εικόνες από τόπους που δεν μπορούν πια να βιωθούν.

Έπειτα από αλλεπάλληλες χημικές παρεμβάσεις, ο Φατούρος δίνει στα έργα την τελική αφηρημένη και “μη μορφή” τους.

The new Cycladic Café Art Project presents the work of Socrates Fatouros “Last Night” (2022).

Socrates Fatouros’ work is centered around a time-based practice, constantly aiming to re-construct our approach towards experiencing and viewing the world and ourselves.
•
Fatouros creates paintings and sculptures, mnemonic images and fictions that are focused on stories, personal experiences and images from places that can no longer be experienced. After successive chemical interventions the works take their final abstract form or "non-form".
