Feeling equally as grateful to have co produced, finance directed, and designed looks in this runway show for the school of Textile and Apparel Management at the University of Missouri.

@jocie.j.o in a custom love letter to what’s yet to come. It is playful, wants to try a bit of everything, prioritizing experimentation above being right, and rooted in music and love.

@josephmounce5 overalls decorated in paint pen drawings done by many of the friends I met at university.

To everyone from the last four years, whether you’re still presently in my life or not, there is nothing about you that will be left behind. I will carry you with me everywhere I go. @jocie.j.o , I am seething with the desire to become roommates and explore and discover what the future holds in NYC together 💭👑✌🏼

p.s. I hardly believe any chapter in my life has been any better than another; I am so grateful for these last four years. I won’t say I’m ready for what comes next, because are we ever?? But I trust who I am becoming, and I am eager to keep getting to know myself while pouring love into everyone I meet along the way.

Thank you to @atammiz for providing me this opportunity to showcase my designs. The 2nd annual fashion show brought together dozens of creative designers that I’m excited to continue working with in the future. My personal designs took inspiration from current events and I wanted to convey powerful messages through fashion.
“Ice Out”
“Free Speech”
“Overconsumption”
“Art will never die”

You can get more information about the individual designs in other posts on this account.

Supporting our favorite intern-turned-marketing-manager at his fashion show! @atammiz knows how to put on an amazing production🩷💐

We were riding in style in the Mustang, eating good at Addison’s, and of course stopping by the @mizzoudg house (@mizzou is my alma mater, so it was a must).

Miss you Columbia!!

Today I was given the honor of having my design displayed at the State Historical Society of Missouri for the exhibition opening in celebration of Americas 250th birthday. I was given the task of creating a design from scratch that was meant to reflect the question “What does America mean to me?” In a time of such instability and fear, the goal of my design was to call back to what the fundamental needs of a community are. What do humans need to thrive? I hope that my design serves as a reminder that in times of darkness and uncertainty, one thing will always remain true: empathy will never be a weakness. We had a very cool opportunity to make paper with Drew Cameron, creator of Combat Paper. This paper is made from military uniforms! The stars and stripes are made out of combat paper, and feature some of my loved one’s handwriting. I want to thank my TAM professors for giving me this incredible opportunity to be apart of such an important conversation. I feel so blessed to be taught among the most creative and talented peers, who inspire me everyday. 🤍

Such an incredible experience. Runway production is fascinating, and the team and designers from Friday were nothing short of brilliant and such a pleasure to work with.
