ROOTS & REMEMBRANCE 🌍✨
The beginning of something bigger.

We’re proud to introduce Diaspora in Dialogue — our First Fridays visual arts series at CNTR, dedicated to exploring identity, heritage, and culture across the African diaspora.

We open this journey on May 1st with Roots & Remembrance, a powerful group exhibition bringing together a collective of artists whose work reflects memory, lineage, and expression across generations.

But this is just the start.

From June through November, each First Friday, we’ll spotlight a featured artist with their own independent exhibition — giving them the space, platform, and energy to fully own their narrative and showcase their work.

At CNTR, we envision a world where every artist has the tools, access, and support they need to succeed and thrive.
We’ve worked closely with creative brands, DJs, and musicians to help elevate their work — and this series is about doing the same for visual artists.

These aren’t your average shows.
This is culture. This is intention. This is community in motion.

You don’t want to miss this.

Thank you, Richmond…

Impressions of Us, 2026

Today was love. Today was history. It was so great to see so many beautiful faces from Richmond’s creative scene. Rappers, singers, poets, producers, DJs, painters, archivists, designers from multiple generations. All in one space for the legend @jamelshabazz to capture “A Great Day In Richmond.” Many thanks to @cartermagazine for asking me to be part of this. This city is special and so are its artists.
