Last year, POTUS tried to defund NOAA and other ocean climate government agencies. Many of our friends and colleagues lost their jobs as a result of the federal reduction in force.

But we stood up, voiced our concerns, and our elected officials heard us!

Congress passed the H.R. 6938 Appropriations Bills to reject the steep funding cuts and preserve the abilities of agencies like @noaa, @nsfgov, @epagov, and @usfws to conduct vital ocean and climate services.

We must continue to speak up for our ocean and ensure that programs that study, manage, and protect our natural resources maintain appropriate funding.
