There’s not many things more thrilling than a land gap. It gives so much perspective to your height and gets the adrenaline pumping with the extra consequence of failure. It is however fairly calculated. Scouting the distance, doing practice jumps and doing a few run ups to gauge the takeoff. The MOST important thing is having gear you can trust. Knowing how durable and high quality Core gear is gives me peace of mind up in the sky. On top of that the kites boost big and have an intuitive feel that makes the kite feel like an extension of yourself. Perspective is a funny one, one day you’re the main subject in the frame and the next you’re just passing by. there’s a point where a moment isn’t being lived anymore, just viewed like ripples moving through something that used to feel like everything. it loosens, doesn’t sit as close to the skin anymore. somewhere between being in it and leaving it, it changes. edges soften, depth shows itself, and there’s space around it now… enough to move through, enough to notice, like watching it all back through old film, reflective, in motion, held by surrender. 📷 of my fav humans doing the things they love
