Another successful gala on the books! The 2026 AWM Austin Trailblazer Awards Gala—where stories, voices, and vision came together to honor women who aren’t just participating in media… they’re redefining it.
This room is about shaping the future.
What stands out isn’t just the celebration—
it’s the continuity of impact.

Because moments like this don’t end when the lights go down.
They ripple.

They become careers.
They become confidence.
They become courage for the next woman to step forward, speak up, and create.

A heartfelt thank you to our supporters and volunteers who made this past Thursday such a success—your time, energy, and dedication keep this community thriving.

And congratulations to all of this year’s award winners, including our Trailblazer of the Year Tatjana Deegan, and student scholarship recipient, Athena Tseng.

One thing remains true:
When you support women in media, you shape culture itself.

It’s Alliance for Women in Media, Austin gala night! 🎉🙌🏾🙌🏾

We’re looking forward to awarding this brilliant UT Austin media student, Athena Tseng, a $5,000 scholarship. ❤️

She’s majoring in journalism and minoring in statistics & data science. 📈

Her mission is to provide information to people while preserving truth, data and inclusiveness in journalism.

There were so many brilliant students and stories to choose from our applications. From what I can tell, the future of media has a fighting chance with this up and coming generation.

Thanks to DR Advertising for sponsoring this year’s scholarship!

Stay tuned for pics!
