I wish you “more than enough” By Athi-Enkosi Rulumeni @athi_rulumeni

What substance or element is in excess on the earth? Whatever image comes to mind may serve as a great illustration of abundance. Perhaps an abundant supply of water? The image of the endless sea and a large field of flowers in bloom quickly comes to mind for me.

Now take a moment to visualise abundance as it relates to you. What item or resource serves to benefit you in its excess? I don’t know about you, but the latter visualisation used to create an internal shift in energy for me; this unwarranted guilt for the abundance of love, money, influence, and security plagued
my heart.

Isn’t it interesting that “abundance” carries a negative connotation of overindulgence?

Literature likes to put it this way: “too much of a good thing is bad,” but how can you overdose on that which is divine and pure? I’d like to think it's because our default desires as humans don’t tend to manifest in a godly way.

We are but carnal beings who need to be gently reminded to meditate on that which is pure,
lovely, noble, and just. If we do so, we are free to wish for an abundance of something as long as there’s anything praiseworthy to it.

The secular view of abundance has darkened our understanding of the very covenant we find ourselves in as we continue to serve the God who’s more than
qualified to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ever ask, think or imagine.

Being exposed to too much of the wrong thing shouldn’t keep you bound from receiving and enjoying the abundance of whatever is healthy, holy, and beneficial for you.

For this reason, I wish you “more than enough”

The Sweet Aroma of Friendship By Athi-Enkosi Rulumeni @athi_rulumeni

One of the greatest love stories ever told was that of a man who laid down His life for His
friends. Friendships have inspired matching charm bracelets, coded handshakes, and even the resurrection of a man (Lazarus) deeply loved and known by his dear friend. It’s not a stretch
to say that friendship is a form of manifesting heaven on earth and the closest thing to
selflessness that human beings will ever experience.

Interestingly enough, the value and experience of friendships in our modern society differ greatly between men and women; male-oriented friendships are rooted in activity (such as
playing sport), whereas women prefer face-to-face, heartfelt friendships. Perhaps this is why the terms “gym bro” and “soul sister” are the way they are…self-explanatory friendship
models that describe each gender’s experience of friendships respectively. One is more transactional, and the other is meant to edify the soul.

My personal experience of female friendships has been dressed with DMC’s (deep meaning
conversations), late-night calls that run for hours,20-minute voice notes, motivational pep talks and the ever-so-beautiful moments of vulnerability that turn into a Spirit-filled intercession.

My view of love has been so greatly exalted thanks to the women in my life who have
adorned friendship, cultivating a sisterhood that is beyond my comprehension – both sharp
and delicate. As iron sharpens iron, so do my friends hone what God has already placed
within me. As pleasant is perfume, ever so sweet are the soul sisters Jehovah has blessed me
with.

Was ein surrealer Monat! Fiebertraum in Kapstadt, irgendwo zwischen Overkill-Hustle-Mode und einigen der los gelöstesten Momenten überhaupt. Desensibilisierung still going verrrry strong. Dazu n schweres Asthma. Schon verrückt, dass man sich gleichzeitig unbesiegbar und geschwächt wie nie fühlen kann. Mehr gelebt, als es dafür Tage gab und so vieles zum ersten Mal getan. Wird schwierig, das im März zu toppen, aber ich leg‘s drauf an.
