If you know, you know.

A little over a year ago, I took a course that I’m not sure I fully understood at the time.

There’s a Bible parable about a seed and the soil it falls on. Looking back, I don’t think my soil was ready to receive what was being taught.

For the past 365 days, my mind and heart have been processing those lessons. Only now are they beginning to take root.

Just because something doesn’t resonate in the moment doesn’t mean it never will.

Don’t rush growth. Give yourself grace. Sometimes the seed was planted long before the soil was ready.

Let the truth take root in its own time. @atlasprojectofficial

An astronaut a day keeps the ego away!

While my brain wanted to share all about the original @imhereforthetimebeing @cocoacinnamon front room floor with @astro_christina, instead I went back to the POS hardware issue I was working on, wanting to let our guest be in peace like any other; she fit right in like so many humble and exceptionally creative Durhamites who are part of our shops and world.

In another time I’d have shared how the art work connected texts from Rumi, Whitman, & @anndruyan brain waves on the Golden Record that were translated into binary code and painted onto the floor after visuals from the @cern Higgs boson…

And still, having Christina at the shop was a great reminder, even purely via presence, of what humans are capable of, what we can be when we are curious, dedicated to science and discourse, and continually inhabiting varied perspectives.

Shot two is one that Koch took from the far side of the moon, an awesome and humbling reminder how beautiful this marble is in the great expanse and how fortunate we are to live on it.

What we do with all that is up to us.

And something of the subject of our next wonder menu at CC.

a selection from Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass -
I celebrate myself, And what I assume you shall assume, For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you. You shall no longer take things at second or third hand, nor look through the eyes of the dead, You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take things from me, You shall listen to all sides and filter them from yourself.

a bit of Rumi -
Oh you who’ve gone on pilgrimage—
where are you, where, oh where?
Here, here is the Beloved!
Oh come now, come, oh come!
Your friend, he is your neighbor,
he is next to your wall—
You erring in the desert—
what air of love is this?
If you’d see the Beloved’s
form without any form—
You are the house, the master,
You are the Kaaba, you!
Where is a bunch of roses,
if you would b

WHAT IF A PARK COULD FEED YOU?

Like, actually feed you.

I grew up in Sonoma County, running between grapevines and vegetable fields, picking berries from bushes, tomatoes still warm from the sun, and the occasional grape I’m sure the farmers were thrilled to donate.

My childhood had dirt under its fingernails. It was muddy, buggy, slightly feral, and magical. The world felt like Calvin and Hobbes: every field was a kingdom, every creek an expedition, and every afternoon an adventure waiting to happen.

That childhood gave me more than a sturdy immune system. It gave me resilience, wonder, and a lifelong connection to the earth. It taught me that food begins with soil, sunlight, patience, and people willing to care for something.

Looking back, I realize how lucky I was.

That’s why Festival Beach Food Forest feels so personal to me.

In the heart of Austin, it is creating that same sense of wonder on public land: a living, edible park where anyone can gather fruits, vegetables, nuts, and medicinal herbs.

No fences. No membership. No tiny overpriced salad at checkout.

Just real food, growing freely for the community.

As part of ATLAS, a leadership and self-transformation program I’ve been doing over the past few months, my team has committed to an audaciously delicious goal: raising $108,000 for the Food Forest.

Our immediate mission is to raise $25,000, which will unlock another $25,000 through a dollar-for-dollar match.

So right now, your generosity literally doubles.

I’m asking you to help create a place where more children can pick something from a vine, get mud on their knees, inspect a bug, and begin their own lifelong relationship with the living world.

This isn’t only about planting a garden. It’s about planting wonder, growing connection, and building something that will keep feeding people long after this campaign ends.

Will you grow this with me?

4 days before my first day of chemo…

Everybody saw a diagnosis.I saw an opportunity to rebuild. 🦋

I wasn’t asking “why me?”I was asking “what version of me is trying to be born through this?”

I made a promise to myself before one drop of medicine touched my body…

Protect my joy.Feed my peace.Clean my environment.Respect my body.Recreate myself from the inside out.

Cancer didn’t introduce me to healing…it revealed how powerful I become when I make myself the priority.

This wasn’t just treatment…This was transformation.
