When the flooring doesn’t stop at the floor.

For this project, we wrapped the joinery and custom handles in the same engineered flooring used throughout the home — carrying the material seamlessly from floor to cabinetry.

The Merricks Farmhouse, designed by Michael Lumby Architecture and Nielsen Jenkins, is a modern adaptation of traditional Australian homesteads.

The building is organised around a central courtyard, with landscaping curated by Franchesca Watson and Robyn Barlow. It acts both as a reference to — and refuge from — its expansive 50 acre surroundings.
