It’s been an honor to contribute to the development of a skate park in South Sudan with @g_rich__ as a board member of @letknown and to help promote an impactful documentary “Skate to Recover” by @_cmert and @timw.jpg sharing the story of @_tite_66 —a refugee who, by bringing the first skateboard into his home country, has created real change through skate ministry and trauma recovery in his community of Juba. It’s a reminder that no matter what we’ve been through, or what we’ve been given, it has the potential to be multiplied for God.

Growing up as an Iranian-American girl in the competitive dance industry—whether as a professional dancer, teacher, choreographer, touring nationally as a competition judge, or leading large-scale live-streamed event production—I was often the only one in the room. That came with its challenges, but my commitment to the craft was always greater, along with a deep appreciation for the mentorship and safe spaces that allowed me to refine myself through thousands of hours of training, and continuously grow. That perspective stays with me and shapes how I value being welcomed into new spaces and contributing to environments and industries from a different background.

What stands out most is how action sports culture connects people across backgrounds and circumstances while celebrating authenticity. There’s a shared language here—resilience, innovation, progression—that I deeply respect, carried by the athletes pushing limits and everyone behind the scenes making it all possible.

I’m continually inspired by the athletes and production teams in these spaces, and grateful to contribute to growth and collaboration in some small way. I don’t take lightly the opportunity to be welcomed into these environments, and I’m thankful for the direction this path continues to take. 🙏🏽❤️💯

Favorite moments from Let Your Mind Run with @atmospherefilms.
Running became a big part of my life in the past 3 years. Getting to learn from 3 local legends of the sport through this project was both humbling and inspiring.

Last photo was a quick snippet on set on 35mm.

Pre-screening of “Skate To Recover” went so well! Still reflecting. Still grateful.

So thankful for @atmospherefilms and @wavechase for putting on the 2026 Atmosphere Film Festival as well as for everyone who supported this screening. Grateful for the space, the connection, and the community that continues to show up for this “Skate To Recover” story.

For our film to be shown in the historic @lapalomatheatre alongside such incredible films made by such talented filmmakers, I’m blown away! So honored!!

Special thanks to @abidingpractice @openroad_global @samaritanspurse @ridenaturecalifornia and all who have donated to the cause! This doesn’t happen without you.

To @_tite_66 and the @skatetorecoverministry let’s build South Sudan’s first skatepark!!
