✨ CAST SPOTLIGHT: Adam Richardson, Baritone ✨ Lauded for his "gorgeous textured baritone," Adam will take the OCM stage for the first time in Rappahannock County. When asked how this opera fits into our theme of Music in Troubled Times, he said: "This piece fits the theme because of how it meets troubled times with emotional depth, humanity, and beauty rather than avoidance. The music offers a way to reflect on difficulty while still creating connection and hope." Adam has performed across the globe, including Dutch National Opera and Staatsoper Hamburg. Recent career highlights include his Metropolitan Opera debut in X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X and the world premiere of Loving v. Virginia with Virginia Opera. The aforementioned funny/silly post. This first one was from the day of The Big Bonk at what was supposed to be a skirts bonding night but turned into a pasta-filled vigil for Gracie. Wearing David’s (size…13? 14?) shoes to make him laugh and then realizing we were putting in his replacement (shout out to Adam) and so he wouldn’t actually be there to see me being silly. We had a lot of big feelings this week so I think I drank an Alani and decided to try to get the kids excited. Jameson hired a magician for us in Chattanooga who came highly recommended on Google. I had the time of my life. Kaitlyn just chillin’ (hungover?) while we got tattoos in Seattle. Showing up to the Easter egg hunt and forgetting that that meant all the kids were hunting for eggs. Not you. Understudy supremacy. Closing night. I dunno. I really don’t y’all. Just wanted proof that I had to wear this every day. Sometimes Tim would call my nebulizer a pipe. CR and I adopted a little bear at Swingers in DC and named him Bly. No we absolutely were NOT crossfaded when I took this video. Spot the difference between my thumb and my face. Bet you can’t. Underneath the ground cosplaying as Floyd Collins. (Pretty sure Tori took this vid) Edie’s birthday pretending to be a Who at a winery. A dresser gave me this book to read about being a woman on Broadway and in theatre and there were some choice words about my boss. lol. The best old ladies in the biz. When we won the holiday decorating contest for the “Victor Hugo Home for Aging Whores.” This is actually a gif from a full video that would not load so you get a screen shot. Let’s just say, I was not pleased. Two words. New Haven. I literally never need to go back there ever again. The last two people (aside from Fantine, FINE) to enter the play. And two absolute menaces. My goo goo and I (very sober) in LA. This made me laugh but honestly, I ended up kinda liking Peoria.

Les Misérables, what an honor it’s been. This one was for the kid who dreamed a dream of one day being a part of this extraordinary show all those years ago. After over 400 shows, 15 Marius’s, and at least 35 cities I’m having trouble finding the words to properly describe what the last year and 3 months has meant to me. Even back before I started this journey in March of 2025 I knew I wouldn’t fully grasp the impact this show would have on me until well after the tour was over. Through it all, I learned the dedication of an 8 show week, the endurance necessary for a long travel day, the glory of a relaxing golden day, I saw the landmarks and staples of countless cities, consumed tons of great food and drink in the company of new friends, saw some old friends along the way, went through the beginning of my fitness transformation, accomplished goals I only used to dream of, went on adventures, performed in all four cities that I’ve called home throughout my life, and am a significantly better man because of it all. To sum it up, this show, this tour, and these people have changed my life for the better. I left my dream show loving it even more than when I joined. To any cast and crew that were a part of this journey, thank you. You all accepted me in a way I didn’t think was possible. You allowed me to be myself with no apology. Another huge thank you to any friends and family that took the time to see the show or hang out when we came through town. One of the best parts of tour was getting to see people I otherwise wouldn’t if I weren’t traveling for a living. At the end of it all I can confidently say that this tour was everything I hoped it would be and more. I love you Les Mis, until next time. Vive la France!! 💙🤍❤️
