Bear 100 Miler (20,879 Feet Gain over 101 Miles) Top of the list of most beautiful races. We started the race off with a 4700 foot climb to the top of Logan Peak being welcomed with the most gorgeous sunrise and Fall leaves showing off all their colors.

I can’t thank enough my amazing team which included my friend and coach @adventure.your.potential, @atrainernamedbob on crew and @trailrunner80 and @fit_nick_lv who paced me.

You train and prepare the best you can but sometimes the day throws you obstacles and it becomes a game of problem solving. 14 💩 is a new race PR and after more than half the day breathing in dirt I developed respiratory issues wheezing, shortness of breath and hacking out yellow phlegm. Sometimes the victory is adapting and pushing forward.

I was a woman on a mission and even though these obstacles slowed me down enough to not accomplish my A goal I’m still proud of this finish.
Thank you to all of the incredible volunteers and race organizers. I truly did have the best time out there with my trail family.

Nature, you’ve been my longest relationship and have taught me the most about myself and others— a place that embodies home, comfort, and allows full ease. Countless hours with you for as long as I can remember, with countless more ahead.

Tahoe 200, I was craving wildlife (home). You gifted an immersive, unrestricted experience that filled my wildly scrappy soul🖤.

Meditating before Tahoe: a need for presence in my body, listening to Self, nature, and connection of all kinds emerged. I didn’t listen to music, audiobooks, or podcasts, or take caffeine to avoid distraction/overstimulation. I meditated when tired or discouraged (I also took naps). The first 70 miles were fully embodied & blissful. The highs and lows ensued; however, my gratitude remained for experiencing through extreme effort— this ability never taken for granted.

Witnessing the vast superiority of this planet to operate & co-create with its surroundings, despite invasion, fire, and destruction. Nature finds a way to creatively connect and continue, stronger than before, with more charm and imprints of wisdom. This 200-miler was different from my first in ways I won’t speak to yet. Moab 240 dismantled and exposed my emotions that required internal mending. Tahoe 200 had exposures, but it also noted my emotional expansion and flexibility, and that I, too, now have evolved ways of creatively connecting when chaos hits and of continuing forward with more strength, charm, and wisdom because of my integrated surroundings.
We see what we want, and we create from that field, always.

Not all races turn out the way you hope. @trailrunner80 and I sat on this log overlooking Lake Tahoe and all the miles I achieved to get to this point. My Tahoe 200 adventure ended at 164 miles & almost 27,000 feet gain. More to post later but left IT band issues starting day 2 led to compensation issues in my right leg to the point I could no longer run and walking it in wasn’t even an option because of sharp pains made it impossible. I’ve had the best people in my corner- @trailrunner80 @brittany_biggs_ @alwaysearnednevergiven Seriously thank you very everything. We’ve been through so so much together. @atrainernamedbob @adventure.your.potential troubleshooting with me and making sure we’ve covered every option before making this decision I won’t regret. Thank you to all the volunteers- aid stations were our life lines in between these long distances. Congrats to all the other athletes out there achieving big goals! @destinationtrailraces #tahoe200 @ultraspire #ultraspire @aravaiparacingteam

Tahoe 200-This will be my second go for >200 miles. You can only plan so much before most just goes out the window & that’s part of the allure. So many unknowns but I have my amazing team @trailrunner80 @brittany_biggs_ @alwaysearnednevergiven and my coach @adventure.your.potential here helping me accomplish big goals. Whatever comes next I want to thank them, all of you & your supportive messages and this amazing staff of race organizers and volunteers. I’m grateful to have this opportunity and I won’t waste it!

After Jackpot 48 Hour, I made the decision to call my friend Ben Light @adventure.your.potential and ask him to coach me for Tahoe 200.

For 12 years of ultrarunning, I’ve been mostly self-coached. Even after finishing @cocodona250 last year, I knew I wanted someone with extensive 200-mile racing and coaching experience in my corner as I stepped into this next challenge.

Ben has built a training plan that fits my life—not the other way around. Between being a Trauma Nurse, family, and everything else, every week has been personalized to help me maximize my training. And whenever questions, concerns, or challenges have come up, he’s always been available for a conversation.

The result? I’m stronger, more confident, and trusting the process.

BE THE LIGHT…We’ve all heard the phrase, “there’s a LIGHT at the end of the tunnel.” But if you’ve ever actually been in a tunnel, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally, you know it doesn’t always feel that simple.

Sometimes the tunnel feels longer than expected. Darker than you thought it would be. You question how much further you must go, or if you’re even heading in the right direction. Progress feels slow. Doubt starts to creep in. The exit isn’t always visible. In those moments, what you’re really searching for isn’t just the end.

You’re searching for LIGHT, that something to guide you, to reassure you, to help you keep moving forward when things feel uncertain. Most people think of that LIGHT as a destination, that relief from hardship, the achievement of a goal, or the end of a difficult chapter. But there’s another way to look at it.

That LIGHT can also be a person. It can be someone who shows up when things are hard. Someone who leads by example, someone who offers guidance, support, or simply their time when it matters most. That’s what BE THE LIGHT means. It’s choosing to become that source of direction, hope, and strength for others through how you live, how you act, and how you show up in your daily life.

Jackpot 🎰 48 Hour

The only fixed-time events I had done before this were 6-hour races, so wrapping my head around 48 hours — and the strategy of stacking as many miles as possible in that window — felt overwhelming.

I definitely went out too hot:
• 50K in 5 hours
• 50 miles in 9:01
• 100 miles in just over 21 hours

I felt strong… until I didn’t.

That first night humbled me. Six hours of dry heaving (thankfully no vomiting), fighting to stay on top of calories and carbs, reminding myself to just keep moving forward. It wasn’t pretty, but I kept it together.

The sunrise after that first night felt like a gift. Fresh Saturday runners hit the course. New energy. New conversations. Daylight breathed life back into me. Throughout the race, so many friends came out to run miles, crew, cheer, and celebrate every gritty step. That support meant everything.

I never slept. The women’s race was tight enough that I couldn’t risk giving up F1. The two times I tried to lie down, sleep just wouldn’t come. New PR for longest time awake 😅 Even at Cocodona I napped. This time? Just a tiny bit of hallucinating at the second sunrise.

180 miles later, I crossed that finish line overwhelmed with gratitude.

Why not start off Baptism Day with a last minute (literally) jump into a half marathon!?🤣🤪 it was stunning! And I may or may not have had a little PTSD from my 2 Wasatch 100’s while running the Wasatch Half that took place on the Deer Creek trail (literally the last stretch to the finish for Wasatch 100. 🙃🤪 I somehow managed to get 5th place female and 2nd in my age group!🥈🏅 I even had people from my spin class and yoga who ran it too! Such a fun day!
