2025!!!! the year of the bangs (infamously).
many firsts. many lessons. many re-learnings of lessons. many people i met who i can’t wait to know forever.
first show playing my songs live. first solo show. first time in chicago. first time in mexico. first artists retreat. first apartment. first time meeting the ‘wuar. first time getting a bj’s card (adulting). first time arranging strings. first time recovering from creative burnout (HEYO!). first time making a substack (i’m coming back soon i promise). first time meeting so many of my heroes. this is all out of order and i’ll wake up tomorrow remembering something important, but i am ending this caption here. thnks fr th mmrs!

“What Do Ya Do” has been a favorite for most of you… it’s the last song on the album that I thought was almost too simple/basic for people to like. Turns out the incessant lyrics of “do you miss me like I miss you?” and “what do you do when someone gets lazy loving you?” really resonated with you.

This song is special to me because I got to finish recording it at the @atriumartists retreat @outliermusic which was heavenly !! See videos for proof 👼🏼🪽 I rarely get an entire chorus in the recording studio so I cried A LOT just hearing people sing my song and holding hands was the most ridiculous and heartwarming way to heal me. Kinda over the top but felt so good to be in that moment I had to share it💖

⚠️ POSTPONED - Stay tuned for new details⚠️

Two months after the Los Angeles wildfires, we still need opportunities to process, gather and learn about how to cope with such a sudden and devastating loss. With a focus on the music/artist community, Atrium and The Rising Artist Foundation are offering a free 2-hour interactive workshop with two former music execs turned mental health practitioners to empower and equip musicians, artists and industry professionals with the necessary tools to recover and recalibrate. RSVP in the bio!

We will cover topics like nervous system regulation, moving through creative blocks brought on by traumatic events, grief, and anxiety, and the power of community and collaboration. Atrium Creative will be leading art experientials, nervous system and embodiment practices, and provide psychoeducation to support the mental health and wellbeing of the LA creative community.

*Please bring a journal/notebook and something to write with. Note that we will be outside in the beautiful Audubon Center at Debs Park.*💙🩵🤍

Finished at @outliermusic in the Catskills, the song captures the natural energy of a day’s awakening (and sounds really good in headphones IMHO).

What a year 2024 was 💫

Kicked off the year charging my soul on the islands
Hosted 2 summer music residencies (one in CA @littlelunchcoffee and one in Italy @t_h_o_t_portocesareo)
Traveled and sang with my best friend @999micelf666 around Europe
Launched a gofundme to raise $ to make an album (scary but incredible)
Recorded said banger album with @alexsiegelmusic
Sang on a @sayjahmiu project
Released 2 beautiful songs
Directed 2 music videos
Joined a barbershop quartet
Celebrated 3 years sober
Celebrated 30 years on this planet
Fell in love
Found the help I needed for my health and started on a natural healing path
Deepened my friendships
Recharged my soul again with @atriumartists @outliermusic where we held hands and recorded vocals for the final track on my record and I cried from the beauty (out 2025)
Visited friends all over the country for celebrations in their lives

I think I made baby summer proud ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
