On support duties for the 14th we have none other than @goodbitofkitrecords Newly established label and party starters, GBOK was founded by close friend of ours @dyl_freeman - who we hosted a little knees up with @planet.wax earlier this year. Coming out of London, we’re inviting down Dyl and any surprise Dj’s/MC’s he has to offer for our 2nd Birthday bash on the 14th of March. Expect the usual styles of underground house n g, proper selections, 0 mucking about!

The beauty of UK grime music is in its live format. Nothing compares to the energy, hype and sheer joy you feel when you’re in the thick of the crowd, dancing and connecting with strangers. The magic within the sound has always been between both the artist ( + DJs & Producers) and the scene’s supporters. When they unite it’s the perfect balance of passion and happiness with a sprinkle of disorder ✨ These #35mm photos were taken in the chaos of the moment, attempting to extend the limitations of my favourite budget point and shoot camera. A metaphor for how grime in itself is created—with whatever you can get your hands on to express yourself. For the last 18 years I’ve been consistently capturing the spirit of music and culture, specifically within grime, and this event was no different. I headed down to this London event to celebrate 20 years since the release of the groundbreaking UK grime anthem “POW!” 🌪️ I threw my camera in at the deep end to capture the energy, chaos, movement and community of the moment 📸💨 Music has the power to bring so many different people together, let’s continue to experience it in real life. 📸: @hyperfrank via @frank.archives
