I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Throughout my childhood, I spent majority of my time with my family in what would be considered an "impoverished" neighborhood. My mother always made sure I put my education first, and during my years in elementary school I fell in love with the idea of becoming an attorney. I eventually attended Indiana University (Hoosiers), where I majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Sociology and African-Diaspora Studies. Interested in attending an HBCU, I applied and was accepted at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. I currently serve as the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, as well as Senior Editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review. Upon graduation in December 2019, I plan to practice in the areas of both Sports Law and Criminal Defense.
