2026 GRADUATE COLLECTION —————— Tom Coventry @tom_coventry_ Studied at QMC: A Level Graphic Communication Degree: Graphic Design at Arts University Bournemouth @aubgraphicdesign @inspiredaub “I’m a designer who loves making things move - motion and 3D are where I thrive! I am so grateful for all the support I have had from my education, starting at QMC and graduating from AUB. Both of these places have played a huge role in helping me land my Junior designer role at a marketing agency where I get to design for brands such as Sazerac, Molson Coors and Carlsberg Britvic.” #qmcgraduates #qmcgraduatesgraduatecollection @qmcollege

In a post-growth world without fossil fuels or the production of steel. What is an alternative material and how can it be branded? Common Ground is a community led, mycelium-based materials brand. Using living fungi to mould and design as an alternative material to Steel/Screws. Creating low-impact, high-performance kit bags that decompose naturally at the end of their life cycle.

You're a Winner... Is what Scarlett Shepherd just heard. Scarlet Shepherd, BA (Hons) Graphic Design, has just been named a winner a @ccchangemakers Creative Conscience Award for her final major project HARK!, a rebellious reimagining of Shakespeare as a tool for modern protest. Born from @wmh_and_i’s “Brand Britain” brief, HARK! reclaims national identity by engaging Gen Z with British culture in a way that feels authentic, loud and relevant. Through screen printing, stencils and DIY protest kits, the project empowers young people to use creativity as a voice for collective action and social change. The Creative Conscience Awards celebrate students and graduates using creativity to make a positive social or environmental impact. Winners gain mentorship, networking, and the chance to launch their projects into the professional world. Scarlet will be celebrating alongside other winners at the awards ceremony this September. Congratulations from all of us at AUB Futures! 👏 See more of Scarlet's work: @scarletshepherddesign @aubstudentservices @aubreslife @aubsu @aubsuthebug @seegull.magazine @aubcommphoto @fashioncomms_aub @thegallery_aub @aubmodelmaking @aubinternational @aubgraphicdesign @aubfashion @aubillustration @aubinnovation @aubactors @aub.designers @inspiredaub @aubtextilesdesign @aubfilmproduction @aublibrary @aubarchitecture @aub_baphoto @academyaub @aub_events_management @aub_viscom_cds @aub_createch @aubfineart @iadaub @aub_makes_dance_makers @costumeaub @foundationaub

Who says your dissertation has to be boring? Many of our students take a creative approach to their essays. Second-year BA (Hons) Graphic Design student Sam Thomson did exactly that for his Dissertation Research Proposal unit, combining his lifelong passion for @lego with the skills he’s developed as a Graphic Designer. This unit forms the basis of the upcoming dissertations in third-year, encouraging students to engage with their personal interests and values, as well as their professional interests and ambitions. Sam chose to explore the evolution in LEGO’s audience beyond creativity and play in children, to a lifestyle brand tapping into nostalgia to appeal to a more mature market. Presented visually, “From Play to Display” is grounded in the research and analysis you’d expect from a traditional dissertation proposal, brought to life with creative flair. Great work Sam! @aubgraphicdesign @samthomson.graphics #aubmakers #artsuniversitybournemouth #graphicdesign #lego #dissertation #studentspotlight
