Enjoyed being back in my hometown at the University of Iowa powwow this past weekend💫
💛🖤🤍🩵💛🧡❤️

My father Dr. Orrenzo Snyder served as the Head Man Dancer & I was enjoying all of the moments with my Meskwaki relatives. @uiowa.nasa did a great job @sophie.shuckahosee + all of the head staff!✨➕

We think 2 weeks out from Powwow is a great time to share who our Head Man and Lady are!

Powwow is 2 weeks away, and we are welcoming Tribal members from all over Turtle Island to let the land dance through us.

Competition, Prizes, and Honoraria are available for all dancers and drum groups. Show up, dance your dance, and maybe leave with a bit more than you started with!

Dance opportunities for all age categories. Not Native? No problem! we will be hosting intertribals throughout the day where EVERYONE is invited to the circle!

Out of town guests can click the link in our bio to reserve a discounted room at the Heartland Inn for Friday and Saturday night

Register before Grand Entry at the Fieldhouse the night before (4/17) from 6pm- 10pm and the morning of (4/18) from 7:30am-9:30am

Feel free to dm or email us with any question!

Just a throwback and appreciation post for my mom, Ttakinenemekikwe ❤️ Was going thru some archives at work and found this article from 2017 that Shannon wrote about my mom. Reading this just made me think about how lucky I am to have her as my mom, and how all her ways really did get instilled into our brains 🥹🫶🏽💃
