Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine. THE benefit of the year. The @srfcure was the cause that was most near and dear to Bob’s heart. Every year, every event has been so special… Whether it was Bob hosting it for almost 3 decades (and was an incredibly active board member) And since he passed, being able to still put on the event with the most incredible talent, food, and awareness to finally find a cure for Scleroderma: The horrific disease that took the life of Bob’s sister.

These are some of my favorite photos from past events, and if you scroll to the very end you will see the incredible talent that is performing at this year’s benefit! November 12 at the Edison ballroom in New York City!

And I chose this song because not only is the Bob Saget Legacy Award going to Adam Duritz of @countingcrows , this year, for his generosity and support to the cause over the years. Also, this song was really important to Bob as it helped him get through the loss of his sister in 1994.

Four works by artist Aubrey Saget on view and available in The Studio.

Saget’s process begins by noticing the fleeting moments in our hurried lives. She takes hasty camera phone photos along her daily commute, during routine errands, and while on head clearing walks. The quickly-photographed glimpses are slowed down through study and sketching, then carefully transformed into painted scenes. Working wet-on-wet, she pulls, wipes away, and drags her pigments with thoughtful intent. This approach allows background colors to slip and melt into the foreground. Directional brush work and layering become strategies for organizing space. The results of this method are a wonderful glassiness and aurora to her marks.

I think John and I both cried a little accepting the Bob Saget Legacy Award in front of Bob’s family and all the doctors and patients he worked so hard for three decades to help. Shout out to the great comedians, volunteers, donors and everybody who came and supported our fundraiser in LA this week. Everything was delicious and I was honored to emcee again. In one night we raised a record breaking 1.3 million to stop this gut wrenching disease that mostly affects women. Long live Bob Saget! Short live Scleroderma! Follow @srfcure 💪🏽

A record breaking $1.3 million was raised for @srfcure last night at Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine!! Plus I got to present the Bob Saget Legacy award to @therealjeffreyross and @johnmayer - plus incredible performances by @alexedelman @whitneycummings @jimjefferies and @hardwick - a truly beautiful and special night and I’m so grateful to everyone for coming out and supporting this very special cause.

“Full House” stars Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin reunite at the Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine event, where John Mayer and Jeff Ross were honored with the Bob Saget Legacy Award. Bob’s daughters Lara and Aubrey also attended, as well as his widow Kelly Rizzo and her boyfriend Breckin Meyer.
