🎤 Student-Athlete Mental Health Week check-in! 💭

To kick off SAMHW, @jordyn.crosby and @tamar.mckey visited SADC to check in with their fellow student-athletes.

From the little things that help them reset to their favorite foods and music, our student-athletes shared how they make time for themselves.

Because being a great student-athlete isn’t just about showing up for your team. It’s also about showing up for yourself. 💚

Watch to see what they had to say! 🎥

We don't have a talent problem. We have a systems problem.

For years we've responded to underperformance the same way:
→ More training.
→ More information.
→ More technology.
→ More accountability.

Yet burnout continues to rise.
Engagement continues to fall.
Mental health continues to decline.
Trust continues to erode.

Maybe we've been asking the wrong question.

What if the problem isn't the people?
What if it's the systems we've built to develop them?

We've become experts at teaching people what to do.

We've spent far less time developing how they think.

- How they make decisions when the answer isn't obvious.
- How they respond after failure.
- How they regulate emotion under pressure.
- How they receive feedback.
- How they lead when certainty disappears.
- How they align their actions with their values.

Those aren't "soft skills."

They're the operating system behind every decision a human being makes.

Talent isn't enough.

Without the right system, even extraordinary people eventually burn out, disengage, or underperform.

The organizations that will lead the future won't simply hire the best talent.

They'll build systems that develop human capability.

Because talent gets people in the door. Systems determine whether talent thrives or survives. ⬇️

Where do you see this showing up most, sport, business, education, or government?

Experiences like this are a reminder of the bigger picture 💼

Watching our students step into these spaces, ask questions, and take advantage of every opportunity never gets old.

Chick-fil-A gave us a great look at what strong leadership and intentional culture really look like.

Proud moment all around.

Shoutout to @symonecamille for representing S.A.U.C.E. 🔥
