Took my babe @ambientdoug to The Kit Kat Club (aka @asbwaterfronttheatre) to see the @aucklandtheatreco production of Cabaret last night. He hadn’t seen Cabaret before, but has been treated* to me singing many of the songs around our whare over the years 😁

A fabulous performance, I especially loved @matungaropo as the Emcee and @monet_theperformer as Herman (and actually the whole Kit Kat Club Ensemble was great!). So saucy and lots of fun, this theatre kid is very happy! 🥰

*Whether me singing showtunes around the house is actually a treat or not is subjective. Doug and Meagan stand in front of a poster for the musical Cabaret.

To practise and share and bond with these beautiful, perfectly insane people, has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. The tiny moustache lives on. Life is good. I smile a lot.

Angelique and I were first and red carpet ready for the inimitable JESUS CHRIST - SUPERSTAR when our fabulous Deputy Mayor of Auckland Desley Simpson calls my name! I wanted to show Angelique where the secret bar is within the magical Civic. I love this iconic theatre as it’s based on an ancient Hindu Palace. My first experience and movie was in the 1977 seeing Star Wars with my father and brother Eric- I was 5 years old. The design looks like you’re beneath the stars and speaking of stars, we sat next to my friend and actress Julia Boddy from Traitors New Zealand - who I got killed by associating with me. The show is incredible, no spoilers needed I guess, but it’s a must see performance! Bravo!

The award-winning, international hit musical Jesus Christ Superstar has finally arrived in Auckland, and now I understand the hype!

Playing at The Civic until 15 November, Jesus Christ Superstar is an electrifying rock opera told entirely through song, featuring an incredible international cast of Broadway and West End stars.

The powerhouse vocals, iconic rock music and spectacular theatrical staging make this a must-see musical in Auckland!

What I wore for a #jesuschristsuperstar theme - I DIY'd angel wings onto a vintage bolero jacket with some sparkly crystal brooches, and wore a Renaissance painting spiky headband. Silver dress by Cybele NZ which I wore recently to WOW Wearable Arts #outfitrepeater. Brown bag by Mimco. Crystal shoes secondhand from @salvationarmynzfts
