Silver Chamber is fundamentally a path into the unknown, the abandonment of certainty, and the longing for connection through exposing the deepest parts of yourself that otherwise would not be seen

To walk that path alone would be impossible

Each musician in this group has their own voice, character, and expression through their instruments and they’ve brought these pieces to life in a way I never could have imagined

It’s as much a joy to show them off as it is the music

I said it at the show: the fact that our music, written from the deepest place of isolation, can now be shared with a sold-out audience of such open, creatively minded people is one of the great privileges of my life. If there’s one goal behind Silver Chamber, it’s to use music to forge connection - to see that realised in the breathtaking hall of the Priory was unforgettable

Thank you, Lancaster, for being a part of this journey

A massive thanks to @lancastermusicfestival for backing us all the way and giving us this platform to share our passion for unifying progressive metal and classical music

📷 And in honour of some absolute god-tier photography, thank you to @nettlespie.photography for capturing the sheer scale, aura and presence of the evening

One hell of a night, hey!

The sophomore event of An Evening of Progressive Metal & Classical reached a height that surpassed even the most ambitious of expectations.

This is thanks to its absolutely stacked lineup of @syntaramusic and @rosenbridgeuk bringing two passionately driven sets of the highest quality.

Special recognition has to be given to the members of the Silver Chamber ensemble who made the backbone of the event. Barely getting 15 minutes between sets, the orchestra performed throughout the entire night, learning and performing 26 different pieces of music - some of which reach 10 minutes in length!

And then the rhythm section, who beyond their double performance, prepared weeks in advance for the technical and logistical undertaking of running such an ambitious night.

Shoutout to @holly_alice_harpist who did both!

And to @rplumblyetc who over the last 9 months has partnered with me and guided me in crafting the vision and execution of the evening.

It was a night that required absolute commitment from all involved - you can see for yourself what came of that.

Over 200 people came out on Saturday in a night none of us will ever forget - to everyone in the audience, you were spectacular!

@rosenbridgeuk nearly took the roof off with a set of unbelievable talent, fury and power, before @syntaramusic placed their flag in the earth with a performance that demonstrates exactly why they're one of the most exciting prospects in the modern metal scene

I'm incredibly grateful for both bands for buying into the vision, bringing such impeccable quality. And none of this would have been possible without the expertise of @rplumblyetc - a true advocate for innovation and a standard bearer in the scene

And a special thank you to my team in Silver Chamber: to the orchestra who achieved the herculean feat of 4 sets of intensive music, and our rhythm section who were the backbone of putting the whole night together

This will return - we'll see you at the next one
