After recently going on my first trip to Ibiza in 2 decades, I knew couldn’t wait that along again to return. @tiesto had a 5 show run at UNVRS, and I needed to go and witness that spectacle again. Myself and @biskitdj were running on limited funds, so we decided to do a “in and out” job, fly in, straight to the club…then straight back to the airport to fly out. No sleep team! Despite returning after less than a week, it was incredible to see Tijs played a very different set to the one a week before. Some unreal classics like Nyana, alongside modern tracks like Lostly - Alone, which will 100% go on to become classics in this genre. Tijs always plays with such a smile on his face, and that enthusiasm is contagious. Will never get bored of watching him play this style of music, and in such a stunning venue. Hopefully he returns for 2027! #ibiza #tiesto #unvrs #emotionaldancemusic #trance

Following on from my last post, the reason for coming back to Ibiza was seeing this man in action again, playing trancey music on the white isle. Feels like that hadn’t happened for as long as I’ve been away from Ibiza myself. @tiesto just has an incredible aura about him, and the passion for the music he plays always shines through. Having looked at what he had played on his two previous sets at UNVRS, I was very excited at how his third show would go. The club itself, is comfortably the best I have listened to music in, anywhere in the world. It’s gigantic, but weirdly doesn’t actually feel as overwhelming as you might think a 10k plus capacity venue would feel. The architecture is just mind blowing, and I spent the first night I was here (Carl Cox the previous day) walking around the huge venue and many, many rooms in total amazement. No time to fuck about when the king is playing though. He picked @hannahlaingdj to go on before him, but hers was no warm up set. First time seen her live. Absolutely unreal, full fire, pounding from start to finish, adding some really nice modern remixes of classic trancers to her set. Then Tijs emerged. For almost 3 hours, he burnt through around 55 tracks, keeping a super high energy, while also making sure both new and the older fans were happy. Classic like Traffic, Flight 643 and Adagio were blended seamlessly with modern ones like his Voicemail remix. What I love about him, is he always championed new musicians. Lately it seems he is heavily throwing a spotlight on younger Dutch producers, this set heavily showcasing their promise. Was hard to pick just 20 slides from the show, but the full 55 are on my highlights reel, for anyone keen to see them. Although there wasn’t a play of my all time fave, Southern Sun, it was still one of the most enjoyable nights out I’ve had in years. Everything I had hoped it would be. Tiesto has done so much for dance music as a whole, and it’s always a pleasure to show support for one of the nicest people in the business. #tiesto #unvrs #ibiza #trance #emotionaldancemusic
