a very special birthday dinner 🤍

📍javier’s @javierscantina 🥩

my grandma (who’s a picky eater) said “this is the best mexican food ive had”

we got:
- octopus cevicha 🐙 8/10
soooo good, and very fresh! wish the portion was bigger but still a good app to get us started, had a little kick with the habanero 🌶️
- la tablita (double skirt steak and double rice! 🥩 1000/10
SO WORTH!!! double skirt steak is the way to go!!! so much food could feed 3-4 people tbh (says feeds 2)! very juicy, tender and flavorful i didnt even use that much sauce. love that you can make ur own tacos however u want!
- seafood trio enchiladas 🦐 10/10 according to my grandma (didnt try)
- filet mignon (comes with an enchilada) 🥔 9/10 according to my dad: very well cooked (medium rare) good flavor palette and really enjoyed the sides it was plated with, a lil but of everything
- pork chop tomahawk 8.5/10 according to my mom: didnt get many comments from her but she had no complaints so thats good!
- tamarind, guava, and pineapple marg 🍹9/10
only knocking a point bc they were $20🙃 otherwise flavor, strength and everything else was there. pineapple marg used actually pineapples while tamarind and guava used puree🍍
- dessert:
- chocolate cake 7/10: veryyyyyy rich-almost a lil too rich 🍰
- churro cup w vanilla ice cream 7/10: ice cream was good, churro cup was too flaky and dry? almost like a tortilla chip that was smothered in cinnamon sugar 🍨
- flan 10/10: SO GOOD, the fruits with the lightweight pudding was phenomenal!!! the best dessert of the three!!! soso yummy, def on the list to try if u go ! 🍮

overall: would definitely go back for another special occasion!! every entree we got was worth it⭐️
