Amy was honored to attend the welcome reception for Dr. Phillip Davis, the new dean of Augusta University’s James M. Hull College of Business, representing the Augusta University Summerville Alumni Society as president. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate AU’s continued growth and connect with fellow alumni!

A little rain couldn’t dampen the AU spirit in Aiken!

Karen and I were grateful to spend an evening at the historic @thewillcox with about 140 @aug_alumni and friends, our largest Aiken gathering yet. Thank you for staying through the drizzle to reconnect and hear about what’s ahead for AU. Our alumni carry the impact of AU into the communities they call home. We are proud of the difference you make and grateful that you remain part of our university’s story.

Thank you to the Augusta University Alumni Association, Medical College of Georgia Alumni Association and our Alumni Engagement team for bringing us together.

IGIVE is underway, and Karen and I were glad to join our colleagues at the M. Bert Storey Research Building kickoff.

What makes IGIVE special is that our employees choose to invest in the university they serve every day. Their generosity creates opportunities for our students, supports discoveries that can change lives and strengthens programs across AU.
I am grateful to our Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement team for bringing this campaign to life and to everyone who chooses to participate. Together, we can make a lasting difference for our university and the people we serve.

I hope you’ll join us in supporting IGIVE through Oct. 6.

A milestone worth remembering. 🩺💙

For first-year @mcg_aug students, receiving their first stethoscope marks the beginning of a new chapter in their journey toward becoming physicians.

Through the @mcg_aug Stethoscope Program, first-year medical students receive an MCG-branded stethoscope and a handwritten note from an alumni, creating a lasting connection between generations of physicians. 🩺

For Donna Chong (Class of 2027), that connection became even more personal when she discovered the note was written by her sister, an MCG graduate who inspired her to pursue medicine. Supported through alumni generosity, the program reflects MCG’s commitment to mentorship, tradition and investing in future physicians. 💙

“Dear Donna,

I am so honored to give you your first stethoscope. This tradition was not around when I went to MCG, but I used my first stethoscope for over 10 years. I hope this one will serve you well. You are about to start the most extraordinary chapter of your life. Don’t ever forget that God has already equipped you with everything you will need. All you have to do is lean on Him, put in the work and never lose faith. … Do your best and have fun. I love you, and I’m so proud of you.”

Your sister,
Dr. Anna Jung
MCG Class of 2008”

Recent honors graduate Madden Jones is being recognized across the state for the impact he’s made helping new Jaguars feel welcomed and supported! 💙

Jones received the CAL-SA Star Student Leader Award from the @borusg for his work within @augnewjags, where he spent four years improving systems and supporting orientation programs behind the scenes. As he begins medical school at the @mcg_aug, he plans to continue mentoring and serving students while pursuing his future in medicine.
