It was a strange day in March, suddenly snowing outside and the uncertainty starting about the year 2020 as we know it now, yet I gave my word as a favor to a friend to model for a collection. I hadn’t been in front of a camera for years and all the old worries of “will I fit my hips into pants”, “will my zit show” and “will I look old?” Came rushing back to the front of my brain (a great time for a lobotomy tbh, scrape all those thoughts off in one blow). It was a basic lookbook style situation where I just had to stand straight and look spaced out at the right angle to show the draping of the clothes. A human hanger. There was a delay with the other model between takes and I really loved the cut of this dress. I asked the photographer if we could play around and he obliged while I grabbed a stool and pulled some fun shapes. I was so happy to play with the clothes and poses! Later, the collection (and the regular poses only, of course) was posted online on #WWD !! Not bad for a comeback for someone who was never actually a real model in the first place. I do love pullin shapes. I wanna pull shapes forever, no matter what my age. 💃🏼🕴🏻🕺🏼 #tomoumiono #pullinshapes #outtakes
