On August 13, Émile arrived. Since then, time has been measured in feedings, tiny sounds, sleepless nights, and a love entirely new to us ❤️

Before I was born, my father wrote a text addressed to me. Years later, I illustrated it for our book Odd Birds & Fat Cats.

Reading it now from the other side of the ultrasound screen, I find myself returning to the final lines:

“And you, a reluctant neuter squiggle on a screen, a black hole, a big bang in the making…”

A few decades later, the little alien from Planet Uterus is expecting a little alien of her own.

Last Sunday's Untitled Blitz Tournament was a Success!

Both New and Old faces showed up!!!

After the last round, There was A 2-way draw for 1st place and a 4-way draw for 3rd place! 🤯🤯🤯

All the players decided to face off in post-tournament match to settle the draw.

After the 1st place tiebreaker between Brendan & Ken, Brendan won 1st place. While Ken got the 2nd place prize.

After the 3rd place tie break matches between Alex, Augustin, Brandford, & Jack for 3rd, Augustin ended up winning the 3rd place prize.

Many Thanks to the Vanderbilt Market Crew for providing the space.

Also, thanks to everyone for showing up.

Bonne année! ✨

Here’s to a marvelous end of 2024! A magical time in Provence’s Luberon, surrounded by family and friends, exploring the breathtaking Colorado Provençal, with the vivid red hills of Roussillon and marveling at the art brut chapel of la Santone. 🌄

A stop in Paris, our second home, with family gatherings, a few too many soirées arrosées, and a visit to the Grand Palais, beautifully transformed by Chiara Shiato. 🥂🎨

Grateful for it all and looking forward to what 2025 holds 🙏

Last Tuesday's Blitz Chess Tournament was interesting to say the least! Upset victories all over the place!

Winners
1st Place FM Juan Pereyra juandeportescba with an undefeated performance of 7/7 Points.

2nd Place IM Wojtek Sochacki with 5/7 Points.

3rd place winner goes to Hruthik Lokesh Puppala, who was originally tied with Jules Brunier having 4.5 points.
Hruthik won the post tournament tiebreak game.

Hruthik was the only untitled player to beater the IM. Unbelievable!!!

Might have to include some rewards. Only time will tell.

Thank you everyone who showed up to the tournament!
