The beauty of Turkish and Persian rugs lies in the tension between their distinct geometries and histories. Turkish weaving, characterized by the symmetrical Ghiordes knot, favors bold, architectural motifs and a rustic, tribal strength. In contrast, Persian artistry utilizes the asymmetrical Senneh knot to achieve fluid, curvilinear florals and intricate medallions of unparalleled fineness. Together, they represent a centuries-old dialogue between the structured and the organic—turning raw wool and natural dyes into a sophisticated, woven language of heritage.

We collaborated with AUGUST Journal (@augustjournal) to produce a limited edition set of three new Euclidian shapes. AUGUST EDITION is inspired by the shapes of Froebel Gifts – the influential educational toys from the turn of the 20th century. Crafted from hardwood, these oversized objects can be used as paperweights or simply create a neo-Bauhaus composition on their own. Available for purchase in our online shop or www.august-journal.com for the U.S.
