Sometimes support has four paws.

For some people, a pet can be a reason to get out of bed, step outside, keep a routine, or simply make it through a difficult moment. That companionship, comfort, and sense of connection can matter more than we realize.

During Suicide Prevention Month, we’re reminded that reasons for staying can look different for everyone. Sometimes it’s a person. Sometimes it’s a promise. Sometimes it’s the animal waiting by the door for one more walk.

You matter, and support is available.

If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
