When a new little one joins a CFD family, our people show up.

The Fire Family Support Network has been assembling welcome baskets and coordinating meal trains for our newest CFD babies, filling both with care from right here in Carlsbad.

A special thank you to the local businesses who keep showing up for our families:

🛁 @tubbytodd — generously donating clean, gentle bath products
🕯️ @auracandles — local Carlsbad candles that make every basket feel like home
🧢 @localbeach — bags, hats, and that coastal Carlsbad energy
🪵 @hazel_grey — handmade baby sleeping signs that families actually keep

Plus books from an Orange County fire family that always find their way into the baskets.

This is what Local 3730 looks like off the apparatus: the Fire Family Support Network packing baskets, organizing meals, local shops donating product, and the union helping make sure every new arrival feels welcomed into the fire family.

If you see these shops around town, give them some love.

They take care of ours.

candles lit, chai latte made, a cozy sweatshirt pulled on, and Kiki’s Delivery Service playing on the projector while the rain tapped against the windows. nights like this make me want to slow down, stay in, and romanticize every little thing.

if you needed a sign to lean into the weather tonight, this is it 🤎

I think I MAY have gone nose blind to our best good girl, Clover. She’s adorbs but she IS a dog. I was lucky enough to discover @auracandles has reed diffusers. No flame, no off or on. Just constantly bringing this gorgeous scent to the room all day long. Flip the reeds to refresh the scent every once in a while. Done. Keep the dog, loose the smell.

If you smell good, shouldn’t your house too? These gorgeous candles from @auracandles come in at under 40 buckaroos but they smell far and away much higher end. Aura is out here doing their part to keep your domestic olfactory situation top notch.
