🐾 Proud moment at Miss Meow Grooming! 🐾 Our team has successfully implemented our new Senior & Delicate Dog Handling Corporate Guidelines! Older and fragile pets need extra care, so our salon has adopted specialized protocols for joint-safe positioning, safe lifting, and specialized bathing safety. Your senior companions are in gentle, secure hands!
Older and fragile pets need extra care, so our groomers trained in:
✔️ Recognizing signs of fragility
✔️ Joint-safe positioning
✔️ Safe lifting and nail-trimming technique
✔️ Bathing safety
✔️ On-the-job emergency response

Your senior companions are in gentle, trained hands 🤍

Thank you, Aurea Paws, for helping us raise our standard of care.

Ma played it softly in Canada.
just her phone. just us.
now it comes from everywhere.

I stopped. I listened.
I knew.
that sound followed us here. 🤍

and somehow, I knew I was home.

Learning never stops at Zoomies🐾🤎

Our team recently completed two senior dog care training sessions with @aurea_paws , helping us better understand how to support our golden oldies through every stage of life.

From recognising subtle signs of discomfort to improving our handling techniques and creating low-impact, enriching experiences, every lesson helps us provide even better care for our senior guests.

A huge thank you to Natacha from @aurea_paws for sharing your knowledge with our team. Here’s to continuing to learn, grow and give every dog the care they deserve💛

🐾 Every scoop matters. Every supplement makes a difference.

Many of the animals in our care aren't young anymore. They arrived in severe critical condition, with worn joints, weakened immune systems, digestive issues, skin conditions, and the effects of years of neglect, abandonment, abuse or simply old age.

While food fills their bowls, supplements help support their quality of life.

✨ Joint support for aging dogs struggling with mobility.
✨ Immune support for vulnerable rescues.
✨ Skin and coat supplements to aid recovery.
✨ Digestive support to help them absorb the nutrition they need. ✨ Senior wellness supplements to keep older dogs and cats comfortable and thriving.

For many of our elderly residents, these aren't luxuries—they're an important part of their daily care.

At Six Hounds, we believe every animal deserves comfort, dignity, and the chance to enjoy their golden years surrounded by love.

Your support helps us provide not only food, but the specialized care that so many of our rescues rely on every single day. ❤️

When Mushroom first came into my life, the goal was simply to help him feel better

Now we’re talking about longevity, wellness and how to give him the best quality of life possible

Thank you @aurea_paws for such an insightful consultation and for helping us better understand the small changes that can make a meaningful difference for senior dogs 🐶

We left with plenty of notes, lots to think about, and a plan that feels realistic and achievable for 🍄

(And yes, Mushroom brought flowers. Because mama said girls loves getting flowers ) 🌸🐾

🚨URGENT FOSTER NEEDED🚨

Biscuit is a sweet 11-year-old. While he has the playful heart of a puppy, his body is showing the wear and tear of a 2 years long stay in a kennel environment. He is a vibrant, social, and deeply affectionate boy who simply needs a chance to thrive and find a home that will love him.

Biscuit isn’t just looking for a place to stay; he’s looking for a Healing Foster. We are looking for someone experienced, patient, and willing to understand the silent language of dog behavior someone who knows trust is earned slowly, through consistency and boundaries.

He would thrive in:
• A calm, structured home
• Clear routines and expectations
• A cat-friendly household 🐱
• An experienced foster willing to let him settle at his own pace.
. Someone who understands that a senior dog’s wellness at this age is an investment in their comfort and joy.

He deserves to spend his days on soft grass and his nights under a loving roof. ✨ DM or comment if interested to urgently help Biscuit🍪
