SORAK explores playful deconstruction through the vibrant visual culture of Hipdut, an Indonesian music trend blending dangdut and hip-hop influences. Inspired by Naykilla’s expressive style, the collection translates energy, confidence, and freedom into vibrant contrasting colours, asymmetrical silhouettes, mixed textile materials, and experimental techniques. Layering, varied textures, and unconventional construction create a dynamic visual language that balances structured deconstruction with spontaneity. Developed as a final-year fashion design project at Telkom University Bandung, SORAK explores how material experimentation and contemporary fashion can communicate the bold, cheerful spirit of today’s youth.
