Some of my all time favorites around the bay! Some of these are staples that I grew up going to and some are new gems. #bayareaeats #bayarea #bayareafood #bayareafoodie #bayarea

What does the florist’s work behind the wedding flowers actually look like?

1. I take the inspiration shared with me and the notes from our consultations and pull out the color palette and vibe we are trying to achieve

2. We take into account ALL the visual details you share with us when coordinating colors, reference what is available for the season from wholesaler and farm availability lists, spreadsheet our recipes to stay on budget to make our flower orders

3. Write out detailed timelines and staff for production and setup. Depending on the size of the event, our setup window and how many items are needed the number of designers will vary!

4. Before flowers arrive we count in all our hard goods and prep mechanics for them, since these things can be done ahead of time

5. On sourcing days there is a lot of color deliberation alongside budgeting, as it is important to see how everything flows together with natural variation at play. We use both our wholesaler at the SFFM and local farm collectives to pull your flower order together!

6. Once flowers are in the studio we process them (fresh cut, remove extraneous foliage) so they can hydrate to their fullest! Depending on the variety some go in the cooler to hold longer while others are left out to open.

7. I usually reserve a day to test out my recipes so that I can explain to my team how this specific flower palette comes together, which elements can be used to solve which design problems, and make sure we have enough product.

8. Production with the team to put together all of the designs.

9. Setup and installation (we didn’t get much video because we were working between the schedules of other teams e.g. letting them hang the quilts before the strands could go up, waiting for catering to have linens down). Most setup days are a bit of a rush to keep everything on schedule!

10. The finished design is SO satisfying to see come together!

real food deserves real chai.
@chefmanishkt of @aurumlosaltos - michelin recommended - on what makes ChaiBáz different: whole spices, slow-brewed, oat milk chai you can’t get anywhere else.
And the food? unreal. samosas, chicken and paneer turnovers, focaccia, tropical mango mousse cake.

Show up hungry. Stay for the Chai. Los Altos farmers market, thursdays 4–8pm ☕

Can you believe this was a winery parking lot? ✨

With a little creativity, a lot of teamwork, and some wedding magic, we turned a simple parking lot into a beautiful outdoor Hindu wedding celebration. From the colorful florals to the gorgeous mandap and all the little details in between, this space became something truly special.

Just goes to show that the perfect wedding venue isn’t always about where you start—it’s about what you make of it. 🌸💛

Would you have ever guessed this was a parking lot?
