Team San Diego returned to Cal Cup this year! 💗

This year was especially meaningful as we fielded a FULL team of 24+ players for the first time since 2019. Bringing a team together of this size took a tremendous amount of effort from our captains Max and Jeffrey.

Thank you to everyone who donated, and special thanks to our teammates: Hiromi, Manny, Jun, Jacque, Tommy, Brandon, Alex, Graham, Jose, Greg, Kirk, Nick, Caleb, Austin, David, Jeff H, Stephen, Jireh, Tony, Priscilla, Eugene, Cat, Stefan, Ryan, and Doru.

Congratulations team @losangelestennisassociation on your victory, and thank you for hosting us. It was a pleasure to share the courts with you and players from Palm Springs, @gltf_sf, and @seattletennisalliance

It was an honor to be part of the 40th Cal Cup anniversary, and to continue the tradition Jim Winters started. See you next year 🫶

🎾 Cheers to the 2026 San Diego Open! 💙

A huge thank you to our Tournament Director, Austin Wilson, for leading a remarkable GLTA Masters Series event. From coordinating 4 playing sites to hosting a Welcome Party and Banquet, Austin dedicated countless hours to creating an unforgettable tournament experience for our players, volunteers, and spectators. We appreciate everything you do for SDTF! 👏

🏆 Congratulations to all of our SDTF members who had fierce tournament runs, including multiple champions, finalists, and semifinalists across every division! A special shoutout to everyone who brought home one of the beautiful trophies designed by our very own Ricco Espinoza. 🫶

This tournament would not have been possible without our incredible volunteers: Enid, Frank, Michael, Roger, Jeet, Daniel, Al, Charles, Jon, Jim, and our amazing photographer, Terrance, for capturing so many memorable moments throughout the weekend. 📸

Thank you to all who came out to play, cheer, volunteer, and support our tennis community. Your energy is what makes the San Diego Open so special.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Spring Team Tennis season! 🎾

Big congratulations to Josh Yu’s “Yu Better Werk” for winning it all, and for making history as the first team on the new Team Tennis trophy! 🏆 Shoutout to Michael Tiong’s “Mean Girls” for a fierce finals and a strong season. So fetch!

Thank you to all our captains: Eddy, Kai, Jere, & Rico, subs, and to our behind-the-scenes heroes: Chris B for organizing, and Austin W for securing the courts. Thank you every single player who showed up and played your hearts out.

Last weekend, team San Diego had the honor of competing in the 2025 Pac Cup and finishing as runner-ups! 🥈 We want to thank @seattletennisalliance for hosting such a memorable event, and congratulate @losangelestennisassociation on their well fought victory 👏

We’re grateful to our captains: Chris Barrera, Andy White, and Michael Massaro for their leadership and dedication all weekend and leading up to the event.

And of course, hats off to our teammates who gave their all on the courts (and maybe in the Honey Bucket too 🤣) this year: Matt George, Aaron Keohane, Ty Ferguson, Ricco Espinoza, George Benakos, Austin Wilson, Jeffrey Wolpert, Cody Heitzman, Eddy Vigil, Kent Seiders, Jeff Hines, and Francis Lomibao. Second place may be the result on paper, but the true victory was the bond we strengthened and the memories we created together. ♥️

the backcountry baddies take half dome!

the most fun I’ve ever had on a trip, amazing we did hike 23 miles+6000ft of elevation gain because I’ll never forget how much I giggled

what an EXPERIENCE. did we fully summit? nooo it was so scary. made it mostly up the sub dome, we mooned the camera and decided we’d rather walk away alive.

megan and me trained six months for this hike and I have no regrets. this trip was the perfect motivator and I love feeling STRONG in my body. had such a blast with these guys. sad to be back in Los Angeles, missing the dirt, trees, and air. but I cannot wait to keep hitting more hikes and being out where I’ve always loved, in beautiful beautiful mother nature.

looking forward to my next chapter up northhhhh let’s goooo!
