What a journey… from a social media post to a fully produced release. Here’s a bit of the journey this song has taken.

I had the first two lines of this song in my head for quite a while. I knew I wanted to write this song about giving God what I had, even if it felt like a little. But I struggled to get past those 2 lines for AGES (any other writers know this feeling?) .

Then in March this year, something clicked in my brain and I finished the verse and the chorus, still not knowing where it would fully go. Then another verse came to mind.
Reflecting on Moses & David in the second verse made me wonder about the huge impact they had on the Israelites which led me to exploring my own expectations of calling and impact in the bridge. All of a sudden I felt like this was the song… so I recorded a video and posted it here (1)!

Matty Walker @matty_dwalker saw it, loved it (his words) and asked if I’d consider recording it with him. I said yes and sent him a demo (2).

We met up in late May to record at @makejesusmusic_studio (3 & 4). A new and daunting experience (for me at least). We had a great time and I went away feeling pretty exhausted but excited.

Then came some live opportunities… @aussiegrown Live at the Chapel Nambour (5). My first radio performance at @929voicefmtoowoomba (6) and more recently online @redsroomconcerts in the US (7).

All the while, Matty was working in the background on the production and sending me what he’d done. I’d send notes. He’d send me revisions. And then in August we landed on the final mix, mastering and submission for distribution with @wingsaccess (8).
Now it’s nearly here, with the song releasing on Friday (25th). It’s going to be played on the radio (at least two times that I know of) and I get to share it at Riverwalk Baptist church next Sunday (my first time as a guest at a church).

(If you’re still here reading, thankyou!)

All this to say, it’s a little crazy what can happen when you take the little in your own hands and place it in God’s hands. Thanks for being here to see it unfold! How good is He!?

If you missed it, you can now watch me perform 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗲 𝗢𝗻 LIVE @ The Chapel! ❤️

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗲 𝗢𝗻 is a song about discovering who you really are—not through the opinions of others, but through the truth that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image.

This was such a special night, and I’m so grateful to Jarrod and Hannah for joining me and helping bring this song to life.

Head over to my YouTube, give it a watch, and if it encourages you, don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe! 🎥✨

Just a little peek into the back room rehearsals before Live @ The Chapel tonight! 🎶

There’s something special about these moments — running through songs, warming up the vocals, sharing a few laughs, and making sure everything is ready before we go live on radio. 📻❤️

I never take these opportunities for granted. To be able to share music, stories, and a little piece of my heart with listeners is such a privilege.

Now it’s almost showtime! 🎤

Tune in tonight and join us for Live @ The Chapel. Can’t wait to share some songs with you all!
