october loading 🍂 what a start to the season… lakeside tennis, hanging on to the last of the dahlias, fires, soups and stews and sunday sauces. leaf peeping. driving just to drive. easy days with the dogs. taking it slow in this season to savor.

an august break in nantucket.

friends trip + family trip. driving thru the dunes to remote beaches. sometimes we felt like we were in africa? refreshing (& freezing) ocean dips. the sconset bluff was v special, walking between the backyards of wild homes & the edge of the ocean. insane view of the stars from lily pond 🤩. we hugged magical ancient trees.

fav shop :: @centrepointenantucket
ice cream :: @nantucketjuicebar
best dinners :: @straightwharf & @languedocbistro
so fun :: @ciscobrewers

A truly magic night centered around community, laughing and talking nonstop in a chef’s garden and around a long table in soft light with friends new and old. Connecting with people out in the world, especially beyond a surface level, is a passion of mine. Yes, now is when I tell you I’m an October ♏️ with a taurus moon. We go deep. Fast. Especially with cocktails in hand. @cucinacipoletti a Tavola brought together so many people, creating the organic spaces throughout the night that are necessary for deeper human connection. And at a favorite venue @southfarms — Beyond capturing the most magical moments on “film”, I learned @ashleynicole.photographer grew up near me in Canton CT (before my Litchfield love affair); I learned about a new friend’s husband’s time in the peace corps (yay for international development adjacent folks!!); I learned so much about the dynamic duo behind Pasquale et Maurice including that I now need to eat dinner at their nyc restaurant and should always put cucina cipoletti olive oil on lemon basil sorbet; sat and giggled across from a favorite friend I’ve known for 25+ years; and talked at length with dear friends including our magical hostess about what goes into the decision to have kids (or not). I could go on. From the first prosecco to the last nepeto amaro, from first to last bite, I felt full of love and gratitude that I chose this place I call home and for the people in it - or did it choose me? My Love Affair with Litchfield County and the special people and places in it continues ✨🥂🥰

photos are a mix of my own and @ashleynicole.photographer - I think you can tell whose are whose ✌🏼

#2: Practicing the Long Morning by @aheller13, shot by @a_damp_owl for our friends at @amateursmagazine.

This one’s about free time getting harder to afford and free space getting harder to find + creating our own abundance through art, play, and time together.

Thank you @noblairno, @reggiemccafferty, & @bettinagarofalo.

#1: If You Have to Ask You’ll Never Know, a convo with @benclement_ and @willocks_ of @goodsport_magazine about how Secret has moved into its jailbreaking era.

Our model has always been inspired by open-source ideals: horizontal, shared ownership, room for anyone to make it their own. Still true today, but as footy reaches peak commercialization (along with the city + world around us), accessing it on our own terms takes a bit more mischief.

We get into the ways we’ve been working our way around closed systems, plus @sssssarahjordan + @gitaugram hack the main frame with a couple planted film cameras, carrying that idea into a visual language pulled from surveillance, CCTV and recovered footage.

Swing by 38 Meadow Street to flip through the mag.

summer in full swing.
a pool hang with friends (we enjoyed the place between guest stays) 💚 a bobcat sighting walking home from the trails (caught him hunting on video!) our slate roof was patched. hydrangeas are beginning to burst. trail walks are vibrant. and this week we hosted 25 women on the back lawn to workout with @rebeccastumpstudio. SO FUN.
