I feel incredibly proud to submit #TwoStepsToMidnight for @grammys consideration! There were no shortcuts taken to create this album! It’s how music is supposed to be done; great songs, a stacked roster of talented wonderful musicians, and pure collaborative magic!

Thank you @huittproductions for partnering with me and giving my music wings and helping me discover my sound! You are a great friend!

Thank you @hilltoprecordingstudio for providing such a quality experience! Hilltop’s historic studio is quite inspiring, knowing Nashville’s royalty used to roam those halls! Even singing on the same microphone that the King himself sang on is amazing!

Thank you to all the incredible musicians and singers that contributed to this album, especially @joel.key.guitar Couldn’t have done it without you! And thank you to my wonderful songwriter friends @dannykensy @coreyleebarker_christmascorey who helped me stick the landing on my two beach tunes! It’s been an incredible three years of creating!

Thank you @tonyjacksonmusic for the backstage @opry tour when I won my @josiemusicawards It was truly an honor to get a small peak into the iconic epicenter of country music and tradition!

Everyone was so gracious, especially fellow Virginians @jackanddavisreidmusic

A few of the musicians that played on my album #twostepstomidnight were backstage including the supremely talented @austincrumaec

It was an incredible night where we honored so many legends. @vincegillofficial was so inspiring! And @brentmason.official so cool!

Congrats to some other notable VA boys @faron_hamblin_official for taking home Vocalist of the Year (Traditional Country) and @jduringjr for Album of the Year!

Life lately has felt unpredictable and I say that in the most positive use of the term.
I look at this career that I am so privileged to have and see all the years of hard work finally paying off in different ways and opportunities that I’m allowed to experience.

In 2020, my family and I had a devastating loss and that was my grandma who was really at the core of our family and held so much together and I was told I should write a song about her and I just never could find the words to do it, and do her justice. Then a few years go by and myself, along with four other songwriters wrote this song together in 2024 at a songwriter’s retreat and we found our ways in connecting with this song because we’ve all lost someone important in our lives who is no longer present here on Earth. And so long story short, at the time we wrote this for another artist to cut and time went by and crickets so I asked if I could have the chance to record it myself and with their blessings we quickly put the gears in motion.

So right now I’m in the recording studio working on this song and planning to release it as my next single. “When You’re Gone” is the title and what really is making this whole experience so special is the people I’ve been able to walk alongside in this process and work with. I cannot thank @austincrumaec enough for bringing this whole thing into life and for inviting all these incredible musicians to be a part of my song. All came in and got right to work and just got it without me having to direct much and it was like a dream to be in a room with such gifted and talented players who all have these credits and achievements and here they are playing on my song, my music. It’s so humbling and I’m forever grateful because this isn’t the easiest road I could’ve taken when it came to careers, but God placed music on my life at a young age and hasn’t steered me away yet in my 33 years of life and I’m just filled with gratitude.

Can’t wait to continue to take y’all along on this journey with, “When You’re Gone” and just know it wouldn’t be possible to continue doin’ this without yall.

We’ve got a lot of good stuff in the works. @therealarissings got in the studio while we laid down the instruments for some new music you’re gonna want to keep an eye out for.

This song pretty much says it all. I will be “laboring” during this Labor Day weekend, but doing the work of my nonprofit fills up my heart with joy, as helping others feels good! “Let There Be Peace on Earth” is right. Featuring @morrisnorthcutt on trumpet.

It is getting a lot of Spotify plays during this time in the world.

Wishing everyone a great, safe and peaceful Labor Day weekend.

(Musicians: Tim Crouch, Ryan Jones, Duncan Mullins, Steve Brewster, Austin Crum, Morris Northcutt, with Connye Florance and Michael Mishaw on vocals/ mixed by Mark Niemiec/ recorded at Sound Emporium, Nashville).

New music! Nashville recording sessions are hard to describe. Let’s just say if I could afford it, I would record here every day! I failed to mention @sinatra_source_science_sound on drums and a jay also played the piano. #country #countrymusic #countryartist
