🍁 🤎 🍂 Celebrating Fall and my little kindergartener at his Apple Day 🍎

Somehow we fit 1,000 YEARS into 29. ❤️

From rivers to red carpets… sometimes on the SAME DAY. 😂

We’ve shared so much of our life with so many people, while somehow always craving more time alone together.

Looking through these pictures, I’m honestly blown away by the LIFE we’ve lived. The dreams, the battles, the prayers, the ridiculous laughter, and all those moments only WE understand.

Nobody else could ever catch up. There’s just too much history. Too many memories. Too much US.

29 years later, you’re still the one I want beside me for all of it.
We fit 1,000 years into 29. Let’s do 1,000 more.

Happy anniversary, DC. I’d choose you again. ❤️

We have a way of believing purpose should arrive with a microphone, a title and somebody announcing our name.

But some of the most important yeses happen where nobody is clapping.

It is the phone call God keeps putting on your heart.
The idea you cannot stop thinking about.
The person you help when nobody will ever post about it.
The small act of obedience that does not look impressive yet.

Purpose does not begin when everybody notices. It begins when WE notice what God is asking us to do.

You may not feel certain. You may not feel ready. You may not see how all the pieces connect.

Say yes anyway.

God does not need you to understand the whole assignment before you obey the next instruction.

What is one quiet yes God has been asking from you? Write it down today, then take the first step.

I’m celebrating the birthday of a man who once told me he would NEVER take our kid to the zoo.

I was six months pregnant, lying in bed beside him, when David very matter-of-factly informed me, “I’m not taking this kid to the zoo. That’s what moms do. I’m a dad. I ride motorcycles.”

Y’all. I cried BIG crocodile tears and wondered what in the world I had gotten myself into!!!

And then Ashtyn was born.

Turns out, the Lone Ranger on the motorcycle had a whole other man hiding underneath that leather jacket.

He laid in bed and cuddled his little girl. He rode motorcycles, ATVs and horses with Austin. He showed up, protected, provided. and loved us fiercely.

A couple of days ago, while we were celebrating Labor Day with our family, he looked around and said something that made me smile.

“Who knew when I was 17 that my dream day would be going to Rainforest Cafe, eating bad food with my grandbabies? This is the best day ever.”

And THAT might be one of my favorite things about you, David Crank.

The guy who thought freedom meant a motorcycle and an open road discovered that some of the best adventures in life happen with your family piled around a table, grandbabies climbing all over you, eating food you don’t even like. 😂

Happy birthday to my favorite former Lone Ranger.

You still ride motorcycles. You’re still you. But watching the way you love our kids, our grandbabies and this family is one of the things I love most about you.

Help me celebrate David today. Drop a 🏍️, ❤️, or your favorite David story in the comments and tell him HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
