The other week my partner said to me “you really just feel everything so deeply, don’t you my love?”

And the answer to that was yes. I do, and havre my entire life.

I cry easily. I care deeply. I overthink things. I feel big emotions that seem too big for the situations im in.

So I spent years trying to make myself smaller, quieter, less emotional, less sensitive, more “normal”

Hidden under all of it was a lack of self worth

I thought if I could just become less of who I was, people would love me more, I’d be more digestible

I know the parts of me I spent years trying to fix were never the problem. My sensitivity became my superpower, emotions became my greatest teacher

My vulnerability became the thing that allowed me to connect with others on a deeper level, and that’s why I do the work I do today

At our retreats, I have the privilege of holding space for women as they lay down the masks they’ve been carrying for years. I witness women stop apologising for their tears. I watch them tell the stories they’ve kept hidden. I see them release grief, shame, heartbreak, anger, and self judgement that they’ve been carrying for years and every single time, the same truth reveals itself:

The thing they thought made them “too much” is often the very thing that makes them extraordinary. I’ve never witnessed a woman become weaker through vulnerability. I’ve only ever watched her become free.

More unapologetic

So if you need the reminder today:

Your emotions are not a burden.

Your sensitivity is not something to overcome

Your story deserves to be told

And you were never too much

You were simply carrying the weight of believing you had to be anyone other than yourself.

To spread love and be loved.
To listen and be heard.
To hold space and receive space.
To open your heart without judgement, and receive it without fear. 🤍

This weekend was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.

We arrived as 18 strangers, yet somehow left as sisters. Women connected by something deeper than words can truly explain. A bond formed through vulnerability, presence, love, and shared experiences that not many people get to witness.

From the moment we met, everything felt effortless. We laughed together, cried together, shared our stories, our pain, our fears, and the parts of ourselves we often keep hidden. In return, we received the kind of love, acceptance, and understanding that so many of us spend our lives searching for in all the wrong places.

We sat together in stillness for hours. No need to fill the silence. No expectations. No masks. Just the comfort of being fully present with one another.

We created a space where every woman felt safe enough to be seen, heard, vulnerable, and unapologetically herself. A space free from judgement. A space that reminded us that our softness is strength, our emotions are sacred, and our stories deserve to be told, felt, loved, and forgiven, so we can finally release what no longer serves us.

I leave this retreat with a fuller heart, a calmer nervous system, a deeper connection to myself, and 17 sisters I’ll carry with me forever.

This weekend reminded me that love exists in the spaces where we allow ourselves to be truly seen. That healing begins when we stop carrying everything alone. And that there is so much beauty in surrendering, softening, and trusting the journey back to ourselves.

For a moment, the outside world disappeared. There was no pressure to be anything other than exactly who we were. And in that space, we found connection, acceptance, healing, and love.

“I don’t want to imagine my life without you in it,” he declared as he pulled me in close.

Finally! I thought, he wants me.. he wants us, despite telling me he wasn’t ready for a relationship.

Not even 12 hrs later I watched him meet a girl while waiting in line to get us tea and he doesn’t come back. Just like that, I was discarded and he even ends up in a relationship with her.

For many years I thought I was the problem.

That it was my fault, I was too needy.

It was too much to ask for exclusivity, clarity and consistency when dating.

That somehow I was the only one who didnt deserve to be loved or chosen even though people around me were finding love all the time.

I labelled my brain as infected. And no matter how many books I read on communication or how patient I tried to be it felt impossible to use an infected brain with equally infected thoughts to heal the infection 🤯🤯

I felt like no one could possibly understand me. That the depth of anxiety and fear I carried into all my almost-relationships was a curse. I’d spend nights bawling myself to sleep, begging to feel loved.

I didn’t know it then that I was carrying the grief of unmet dreams. That what I was crying over wasn’t the man, but the potential of what could have been. A future where I was loved, chosen and committed to, and to live without that was more unbearable than losing my parents.

So it was pretty funny finding myself here in the retreat space 3 years later, supporting women through their own grief, because I made one choice to become the love I was looking for.

And just kept showing up.

Now my world is filled with sisterhood (thanks @sammyrebz and @holistickd!!)

I can have all the messy, unpolished parts of me witnessed and not fear that I will be abandoned.

I feel safe to just express myself, even if I might get rejected.

In return I feel truly recognised for who I am and so understood that even what I can’t put into words, the essence felt deeply.

Through nature, ritual & community, I became my own protector and provider first. And that relationship has been the most fulfilling one I’ve ever known.

Still on a high after running my first ever workshop at a motherhood retreat with one of my best friends & her beautiful mum. If you’d told me five years ago this would be my life, I honestly wouldn’t have believed you.

Motherhood hasn’t been “easy” for me it’s been a real 50/50 split of incredible highs and equally intense lows.

I’m constantly torn between wanting to be the stay-at-home mum and the ambitious woman chasing her dreams. Trying to be present, meet my child’s every need, fill my own cup, create income, stay grounded, heal old beliefs… and not burn myself out while running on severe broken sleep? Yeah it’s been a journey.

But this weekend reminded me of something powerful:
No one gets it perfect.
Every mum is figuring it out as she goes.
You’re allowed to be BOTH devoted to your babies and devoted to your purpose.

And honestly… our generation is drowning in information. There are a million opinions on how to parent, feed, sleep, discipline…everything. But at the end of the day WE know what’s best for our children. If we leaned into our intuition more I genuinely think motherhood would feel a lot less overwhelming.

Holding space for these women made me realise how many of us carry the same inner-child wounds, guilt and pressure… and how freeing it is to finally rewrite those stories.

I’m so grateful I got to be part of this retreat and meet the most beautiful souls.

My heart is so full and I finally feel like I’m beginning to find my people again 🤍✨

Our retreat was a long time coming, something mum and I had spoken about creating for years but never progressed with the idea due to burn out from working so hard at our full time jobs and truthfully, a-bit of imposter syndrome.

When the vet told me Louie has lymphoma and would di3 quickly if not given treatment (that cost more than I could afford), I had no idea how, but I was going to make it work. I told them to give me the number to the best oncologist in Sydney.

Then my mum (my rock) called me, still crying from the news, and said “now is the time for us to create these retreats. I’m all in. All profits to Louie. Let’s do this.”

And the magic began. The idea behind our retreat is rooted in our souls purpose to help other women feel safe in their own voice and body, but they are ALIVE because Louie inspired us to take ACTION.

Louie had a purpose here on earth, and once he seen it was fulfilled, he truly did let me know he was ready to go the moment we got home.

He seen with his own eyes the magic his Mama & Nanny had created in order to help a collective of women feel safer in this world. And every single woman who comes to our retreat will leave with a part of his magic in their soul forever.

A sense of peace washed over me as I watched him take his last breath. His job here truly was done.

Thank you for everything Louie. Your legacy lives on.
