September was a short reading month, but the books I did read absolutely DELIVERED 🤭📚

I finally got out of my reading slump with Playing for the Dark and Taking Over the Dark, and apparently September decided I needed football, mafia, why choose, hockey boys, second chances, AND triplets. 😂

🏈 Playing for the Dark
🖤 Taking Over the Dark
🎃 Triple Threat
🏒 The Penalty Game
🏒 The Starting Lineup

Honestly, quality over quantity this month because I had such a good time with every single one. 🫶🏼 Now onto October reads! 🍂📖

What was your favorite book you read in September? 👀

“I’ve noticed all the books you read. The ones where the woman is with multiple men.”
“Do any of them have… triplets?” 👀

And considering I already knew I was a sucker for triplets… there was absolutely no way I wasn’t reading this. 😂🔥

Triple Threat was the perfect short, spicy Halloween read after finishing the High Stakes Syndicate duet. M/F/M/M, primal vibes, and three brothers? Yeahhh, this one had my attention immediately. 🤭

Short, spicy, chaotic, and exactly what I needed. 🖤🎃

The girlies at A Thousand Lives Book Haven told me I had to read this one… so obviously I couldn’t say no. 🤭📚

The best part? It’s two books in one, which made this reading experience even more fun. Come along with me for a little reading vlog and let’s see if this recommendation was worth the hype. ✨

Have you ever picked up a book purely because someone recommended it? Let me know your best recommendation below! 💚

🎇𝐦𝐢𝐝-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐚𝐠’𝟐𝟔 | how are we halfway through the year already?! shoutout to @lgl.bookworm for the inspiration behind this post 💜 somehow we’re already six months in, 40x books down & while i’m technically behind on my reading goal... i’m honestly okay with it

this year has been a reminder that reading is a lot more fun when i’m choosing books because i 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡 to read them—not because i feel like i 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑.. and i think that’s reflected in these picks

apparently 2026 has been the year of unforgettable characters, wildly creative worlds, emotional damage (looking at you Edge of Darkness 😭) & a few books that deserved way more hype than they got

House in the Cerulean Sea has completely stolen my heart & mind, Dungeon Crawler Carl made me laugh my ass off & i TRULY can’t wait to finally dive into The Knave & the Moon later this year ‼️ if the first half of my reading year has taught me anything, it’s that my TBR is only getting more dangerous from here. 😂📚

🫵 𝐐𝐎𝐓𝐃: your turn! choose any book superlative and nominate a winner from your 2026 reads below
