Atlanta Book Fest 2026 was a celebration of stories and our super-talented local author community!

Grateful to the organizers, ambassadors, fellow authors, and book- loving readers for the conversations, laughter, and new friendships.

People need people. Connection is an asset. And sometimes, it starts with a book and a hello.

Hey y’all to my bookish besties out there! It’s your girl Amina here, so as of last Saturday, I went to the Atlanta Book Festival at Plywood People. I enjoyed it. Of course I got some books with DL White @author_dlwhite & a new to me author Ashley Jordan @ashleyjordanwrites. I enjoyed it for a brief moment but ya know I love my reading especially everyone who is black! I enjoyed the conversations with these two. #blackbookstagram #blackbookstagrammer @atlantabookfest

✨ Today’s Atlanta Author Spotlight: D.L. White! ✍🏾📚

If you love discovering new voices, supporting Black literature, and finding your next five-star read, here’s an author to get familiar with!

At TMGLS ATL, we’re intentional about celebrating the writers creating stories worth reading, discussing, and sharing.

Because supporting Black authors isn’t just about buying the book.

It’s about talking about their work, recommending their stories, and helping more readers discover them. 🖤

📚 Have you read anything by D.L. White?

September 2026 Recap
Books really were my happy place this month. Although the grief is still very present, I feel like I’m smiling again and breathing easier. My laugh is genuine and the love is felt. I’m excited about the opportunities I’ve been blessed with and making memories with my village. This month was a reminder that the sun can still shine even when it’s raining.
