A dramatic story of lost lovers who found their way back together from a place that seemed so desolate.

Rating:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🔥🔥🔥

This story is jam packed with 23 years of affairs of the heart, you’ll get a taste of all the favorite flavors of book tropes! Childhood Friends to Lovers, Lovers to Enemies, Yearning, Found Family & Second Chance.

This book took me on a wild rollercoaster of many emotions and honestly that’s the key to having an impactful read! Ace and Josie were captivating main characters, they were messy, caring, headstrong and fierce in the way they loved.

While on this wild rollercoaster of love, I went through ups and downs alongside the characters. Josie and Ace definitely went through trials and tribulations and was I mad at Ace along with Josie sometimes? Yes! But was it so beautifully written that I felt myself softening back up to him along with Josie? Yes! Sometimes, despite the initial rebuking, you just gotta say yes to Struggle Love!

It’s really lovely when an author can have you yelling at your screen and then cooing at it a chapter later…They both had 23 years of growing up together and I’m glad they recovered at the end. I’m happy at how Ace refused to hold back any longer and how Josie accepted that she didn’t want to run from him anymore…that the fear of being hurt again wasn’t bigger than the love and respect she had for her first love, Atticus.

Atticus and Joséphine are a pretty cheesy couple with all their, “To the Moon.” and “Gem.” declarations but I’m always down for that kinda cheesiness one can only seem to find in Childhood Friends to Lovers!

In this book you’ll have growing pain with the main characters we meet as just kids but despite their shared trauma that one often gets from their first love…that forever love they do have, makes it worth it!

ARC Review✨

Thank you @author_saffron for the opportunity to read this ARC!

Spoiler Alert or maybe 🤔 😆🌶️ 🌶️

Years apart. Lingering feelings. Unfinished business. And a love worth choosing. 🥹❤️

Josephine and Atticus had me INVESTED! The banter? The tension? The attraction that never quite disappeared, even after all those years? Give me more!

There’s something so satisfying about watching two people reconnect after time has passed. They have history, memories, and feelings that never completely went away. And seeing them navigate that attraction, find their way back to each other, and ultimately choose love made this such an enjoyable romance.

💫 The banter between Josephine and Atticus was EVERYTHING. I loved the chemistry and the tension simmering beneath their conversations. Sometimes the things left unsaid make a romance even better!

Evelyn, on the other hand? GIRL. 😒 I found her self-centered and felt she was taking advantage of Atticus’s wealth and public image. I couldn’t help questioning whether she valued him for who he was or what he represented.

And then there was this line. THIS LINE. 🥹💔

“Let that love teach you what you deserve… not trap you in what you cannot have.”

Can we just sit with that for a moment?

Because WOW. A reminder that love should teach us our worth, not keep us trapped in longing. That we can honor what someone means to us without losing ourselves in what we cannot have. And that sometimes choosing love also means choosing ourselves.

I especially loved the mother’s support and the wisdom she brought to the story. ❤️

Final thoughts: A romance about history, timing, second chances, and choosing the person you love. Josephine and Atticus reminded me that sometimes the most beautiful part of love isn’t finding your way back—it’s deciding to stay.

You can tell by these couples that I really can’t ever get enough of angsty moments! I always need my couples to have some sort of dramatic heartbreaking moment where they have to yearn for each other until they realize they truly can’t be without one another! ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚

Scroll along to see snippets of me gushing about them in my initial Fable reviews ˋ°•*⁀➷

Also have been loving these freebie templates, it’s so helpful because I suck at graphic designing lol!

I enjoyed looking forward to reading this as soon as I woke up…very good and messy ass trope lol! I definitely love when a man grovels on his knees for his lover and I love when a woman lets him work hard to win her heart back! 💘🫶🏾

Lyonne Riley always leaves me with such a wonderful reading experience! This had most of my favorite tropes, arranged marriage to great love trope, forced proximity & Orc x Human! From the deep angst and the fluff…along with the sweltering hot spice 🤭 The audiobook narrators were indeed top tier—rent must’ve been due!

This book catapulted me into a whirlwind of emotions and as I sit here I can hardly come up with words to describe the ride…all I know it was an extraordinary ride. The Bridge Kingdom took me on a wild journey filled with heart-racing scenes and gut-wrenching moments, leaving me with zero moments of boredom.

Lara and Aren’s love story was jam-packed with hatred, mistrust, curiosity, intrigue, respect, care, lust, trust, and most important of all mercy, mercy that existed only because of the unconditional love that ricocheted between their bodies even in the most heartbreaking moment of their lives.

Honestly, so happy that this was my first read of 2026! It’s such a perfect a way to ring in the new year with another 5 star read from Shanora Williams! I was desperately impatient to get my hands on the second book of this lovely series and I’m so happy that the wait was worth it. I especially love reading about close knit families, this cute little family made me feel right at home. 🥹💘

Octavia and Javier’s journey in romance was a pleasant one. It started with them do

📚ARC Review📚:
To the Moon by @author_saffron
Releases: January 12, 2027

Thank you Saffron Brooks for allowing me to read an ARC of To the Moon! 🌙🩵

I read about Josie and Atticus in Loving Queen and was so interested about them when I learned their background, and this book didn’t disappoint. This book pulled at every emotion I had. You get to experience the beginning, middle and continuation of a love story that showcased the good, bad, and ugly of what love can look like, but also, when the love is true, it holds forever.

One cannot deny that Atticus loved him some Josie, and she loved him just as much. Their love could be felt while reading even when things weren’t good. I was so conflicted while reading because I wanted Josie and Atticus together forever and get over the bumps together. However, I stand with Josie and was happy that she did what was best for her even if her heart broke in the process.I loved the person Josie became to be. She is the ultimate boss, and she does not play at all. She stayed getting Atticus and everyone in that house together real quick. The yearning and possessiveness that was displayed during this book was chef’s kiss. I wouldn’t expect both of them to be as spicy as they were during some scenes, but after reading Loving Queen, I should’ve known better.

To The Moon is such a beautiful story that was written with so much thought and love. I am so happy after so many years that Josie and Atticus got their happily ever after and can start the life they always wanted, and I absolutely recommend this book!

ARC Review: To the Moon by @author_saffron
Infinite stars <33

I need Miss Saffron to come FRONT and CENTER right now.

This book.... as soon as it came into my inbox I read the whole thing. Stayed up until the early hours of the morning just to finish it. When I tell you that this book had me smiling, in tears, heartbroken and so many emotions all in the space of like one day I'm not even joking.

Based on that alone, I have to recommend this book to any one who will listen. If you want YEARNING like you have never seen then this book is it. Absolutely *aggressive chefs kiss* <333
